In our 5 day stay in Albi we paid two visits to La Plaque de L'Eveque and enjoyed both. The food was the best we had in Albi and was not expensive. The staff were very welcoming and even managed to find us a table on the balcony the second night when we had been warned when reserving that we... More

For 16€ each we had a great weekday 3 course lunch. 16€ also for a good bottle of Fronton rosé. Appeared to appeal to a younger local audience rather than the tourists that fill the restaurants that surround the cathedral. Although a 11 minute walk is needed to cross the river from the cathedral you are rewarded by a great... More

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch on the terrace, 16 euros for 3 course set menu - staff were pleasant but as there were only two servers and it was busy service was slow. Portions are generous and food was good but not very exciting. Toast with topping and salad starter, pork with cold potato salad main and an ok desert. A... More

We went here for Sunday brunch and the food was very good. What made it exceptional were the two young ladies who served us. They were a pleasure and the food was very very good. Would happily return

Great lunch. The 19€ menu had various dishes offered, and was delicious. Great service. Will go back without hesitation.

It was my second time eating brunch here. Last time was with a group of girlfriends and this time with my husband and son. The setting is gorgeous and since it was a sunny day we sat on the covered terrace. The brunch consists of a variety of wonderful, high-quality items including homemade jams. Just enough food to leave you... More

Spent an unexpected and glorious day in Albi with a friend. After enjoying the wonderful buildings we decided to cross the Tarn over one of France's oldest bridges. By chance we came across this superb restaurant close to free car parking and five minutes across Le Vieux Pont. Small, clean and welcoming, there were already - I assume regular -... More

La planque d'évecque is a real gem hidden in Albi on the other side of the Tarn. One enters the restaurant via the terras with a splendid view on the cathedral of Albi. Inside it's a cosy restaurant, the food and the wine were excellent, the service as well. Moreover, we expected a much larger bill, but the prices were... More

Various friends do sometimes bad mouth TripAdvisor to me knowing how much I love it. Well how would I have found this place in Albi without it? Tucked up a side street away from the centre, but absolutely brilliant for a 3-course lunch of unbelievable quality and price? Best meal of holiday so far!
