We were excited by the concept of a cheese restaurant, but disappointed by our experience here. The interior was filled with 20th century knick knacks but in a tired and scruffy way. The tables were small & tightly packed. We made the mistake of choosing a 3 course menu, because after the ample starter of oeuf cocotte I did not... More

We went to this restaurant on a Saturday night, it was quite busy, & we liked the look of the menu. Both of our starters were very good & tasted great. The problem was the main course, we both ordered the same main, it had been cooked & served in a metal bowl, however although the outside edges were cooked,... More

Absolutely incredible restaurant!! I love this place! I have been here several times with friends, and it does not disappoint! The interior is cozily decorated and the waitstaff and really friendly. The portions are something to behold! I shared a 2-person meal and not only was it plenty for the both of us (our friends helped themselves, too!), but the... More

Le Bouche a Oreille has the raucous atmosphere of a messy relative's parlor and dining room with antiques, toys, laundry, and old photos crowding every square inch of the restaurant. While, packed, we were able to quickly be seated just before the evening rush. The crowded, small dining room encouraged conviviality. Patrons skew towards a younger set. Portions were quite... Le bouche a oreille had quite good food and very large portions of typical Alsatian fare. However, most of the food was a variation on pork, cheese, and potatoes. That being said, we did very much enjoy our meals. We did note that the options that came in soup tureens were quite watery, which at times was unpleasant.

Very beautiful place, decorated with vintage pieces. Most of the dishes are made with excellent cheese. Very good prices. A good adress in Metz!

We visited with friends while here for weekend. The menu was complete with lots to offer. Cheese, potatoes, meats. We took it all in and had a great meal on the terrace. Location is Ok but the food makes up for it.

Good if you are hungry. Enormous portions, loads of cheesy sauces, nice salads. Service good particularly the women staff who are efficient and friendly. One spectacular dish I saw was called La Potence. A 40cm high hangman's noose structure (for two) with a metal, meat clustered ball hanging from it and hovering over a tartiflette-like dish. Gourmand dessert looked lovely... More

Always a pleasure for my friends and I to come for dinner in your restaurant. From Metz and living away now, I love to come back and appreciate our lovely french dishes. Always a warm welcome and a good service, good prices and huge portions! We had a table for 9 people booked at 9pm, staff absolutely friendly, sorry..forgot their... More

Our aim was to find somewhere in Metz serving traditional food of the region, near to the centrally located Novotel we were staying a night in. You are on the edge of the Alsace region of France, here, that runs down the eastern edge, bordering with Germany and that links to the mountainous Savoie region in the South East. The... More
