This restaurant has A great ambiance. The staff is correct and the food is fantastic. The price/quality is good, and the wine by bottle has a average price. If you want to eat in Nancy you must visit this restaurant.

A business meal was the reason for visiting here, good atmosphere, great service, varied menu, (check the website as it has both the English and French menus for viewing). Definately something for every pallette and taste, tried a couple of dishes here which were new to me. Would certainly recommend this restaurant as a place to visit in Nancy ,

We chose to eat at the Excelsior both for its historic value, but also the romantic and classical ambience. We found the food to be very good but the bread served a bit tough--probably a day old. Although the prices are a bit on the spendy side, they do have attractive specials from which to choose.

We arrived without a booking as a result of a last minute change of plans. We had been admiring the building from the outside and so it was a treat to go inside and see the art nouveau decor close up. The restaurant specialises in seafood and there are vast displays of shellfish. It is not a cheap restaurant but... More

We went there for lunch on Sunday without a reservation but they managed to find a place for us in a packed restaurant. Their Express (2 course meal) was delicious. Topped it off with Crepe Suzette

The whole experience was one of opulence, from the art nouveaux surroundings to the excellent cuisine served by courteous staff. Whilst on the more expensive side, if you want to savour a traditional brasserie then this must be top of your list.

Wanted to visit because the interior of the restaurant looks wonderful. And it really is! You feel like time has been standing still for a very long time. We came in-between lunch and dinner time, so the place was rather empty. I guess it can become quite loud if the restaurant is full and if you want to avoid that... More
