Beautiful restaurant but service atrocious. Waiter came to take our order, left his pad on our table and then promptly went and cleared another table and made up their bill... he then sent someone else to take our order who didn't write it done so not surprised they got our order wrong. It took 20 minutes for our order to... More

If you travel to Nancy Fr, you have to eat at this place, we were served by Gerard Depardieu (real name) with grace and pleasure, the oysters are so good, and everything they serve is good. Of course the wine selection is great.

Had the set Breakfast Excelsior on a sunny Sunday morning when most other places were closed. As expected the room itself was beautiful in an understated Art Nouveau style. Service was excellent and the breakfast was exceptional value- 2 breads, a crisis ant, pain au chocolate, jam, butter, yoghurt, orange juice and coffee (with a free second cup). Too much to... More

Staggered approach to serving parents and kids: parents first, kids had to wait. Not good. The food was mediocre. The venue is very nice, but all in all, I would not return.

This restaurant has A great ambiance. The staff is correct and the food is fantastic. The price/quality is good, and the wine by bottle has a average price. If you want to eat in Nancy you must visit this restaurant.

A business meal was the reason for visiting here, good atmosphere, great service, varied menu, (check the website as it has both the English and French menus for viewing). Definately something for every pallette and taste, tried a couple of dishes here which were new to me. Would certainly recommend this restaurant as a place to visit in Nancy ,

We chose to eat at the Excelsior both for its historic value, but also the romantic and classical ambience. We found the food to be very good but the bread served a bit tough--probably a day old. Although the prices are a bit on the spendy side, they do have attractive specials from which to choose.

We arrived without a booking as a result of a last minute change of plans. We had been admiring the building from the outside and so it was a treat to go inside and see the art nouveau decor close up. The restaurant specialises in seafood and there are vast displays of shellfish. It is not a cheap restaurant but... More
