Great seafood and steak, beautiful ambiance and good service. We had a great dinner here! Fully worth the price.

Delightful decor, prompt courteous breakfast service. If visiting Nancy, put this on the top of your list and start the day with a delicious breakfast.

From outside the art nouveau building is not to everyone's taste, but inside the rooms are fantastic, a wonderful example of the Ecole de Nancy. The service is up to the standard you would expect: I.e as it should be, friendly and professional. It's popular...with local families. The food is good, but not the best in town. There is a good wine list at reasonable prices. Expect to pay €50 to 60 per head, although of course this depends on what you have!More

With a 20 foot ceiling and breathtaking decor, this is just a joy to have dinner at. The food was outstanding. The only downside is that you can feel at times that you are in Grand Center Station in NYC during rush hour because the...waiters are rushing around so much, they really work their tails off. But once the waiters get to you, they are extremely professional and accommodating. Reservations a must.More

The restaurant itself looks great and the waiter was nice, I ordered a hot chocolate which was expensive (but I expected it) however I didn't expect to get something which is obviously made with water and no real chocolate, I make myself something much better...at homeMore

One of my favorite brasseries in France 🇫🇷 in the center of Nancy (in front of the station) The Excelsior is the most distinguished masterpieces of the Ecole de Nancy...typical Viennese art-nouveau exterior facade, solid mahogany furniture designed in the Ateliers, chandeliers and wall sconces...by Daum...when you enjoy the restaurant it is not only a gastronomic experience ! Excellent service Typical French brasserie food, like plate of sea food, tartar steak, rhum baba or baked Alaska....good wines... It is an unmissable brasserie in France !More

Step back in time with the traditional decor in this brasserie. Good value breakfast choices. Good pastries and eggs and delicious hot chocolate! Convenient for a pre train breakfast as near the station.

The Excelsior doesn't only present a beautiful backdrop for any social activity, they offer a great breakfast for a very good price. We had the biggest breakfast, got an extra soft boiled egg for free for our party of 3, and were offered 1 extra...coffee order for free as well because they had forgotten about it and it was late. Crisp and professional service, too. Loved it!More

We arrived in Nancy in the evening and chose Excelsior Restaurant because of the attractive building and the fact that is was close to our hotel. We ordered escargots as an appetizer. They were OK, but not as good as we have had in California....My wife had seafood linguine that was quite acceptable. I ordered "Andouillette" sausage. It was a disgusting collection of meat scraps stuffed in an intestine and served with a huge serving of French fries (frites). Poor choice on my part, but it looked good on the menu (carte).More
