I wanted something traditional, but where the kids would eat too. Actually found this using the trip-advisor app and the pictures and reviews sold me. Short drive to Perpignan and found parking, but finding the restaurant is a little tricky, but persistence paid off. In the summer months you sit in the alleyway outside the restaurant which was a first... More

Great food and great service. The choice on the menu is bennificial to everyone and pricing is good, You get the choice of general food or local. The restaurant has been on the go for 140 years and there are as many locals their as tourists. Very tasty nd desirable.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and ate there while we were in Perpignan and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Perpignan. The food and the service were excellent. We had the best French fries I have ever eaten in my life and the country pate/terraine and the slow-cooked lamb were really good. You should definitely book a... More

A restaurant serving local food from a short menu and doing it well. My friend had the country pate which was excellent. For main course I had slow cooked lamb which was as flavoursome (garlic of course!) and tender as one would wish. My pal had the steak tartare which has clearly been in the 'fridge up to service so... More

Situated in the centre of town, down a narrow lane you'll find this wonderful relaxed but busy restaurant. Very typical French in both style and food you'll shouldn't be surprised in the quality of the food and service. You must try the Prawns and Chicken dish which rates in my list as one of the top ten dishes. Service is... More

Went here with 5 friends and chose it because it had good reviews and was busy. They were very busy and it took a while to get served but the food was really very good. Possibly the best Squid I have eaten was served up as La Planxa - perfectly cooked with just the right amount of garlic, herbs and... More

This is a restaurant with lots of atmosphere and serving excellent food. High ceilings, marble top tables, art and old photos of visiting celebrities on the walls and a menu to suit any palate. Also popular with locals which is always a good sign.

Very old restaurant in the old town. Full of history. Serves traditional Catalan food. Staff nice, quick and service minded. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there.

I was lucky to arrive early enough to get a table as very soon after the restaurant filled up - and this was on a cold Tuesday night. The atmosphere is one of a lively bustling restaurant which for me only enhances the experience. The food was very good and reasonable value. The disappointing bit was the time between courses... I was here visiting family and friends and had four meals there all of them fantastic, the proprietor is the quintessential gregarious French bistro owner. Dishes not to miss: Gambas carpaccio, the house Gambas/chicken banyuls stew, lamb shank, calamari planxa, the manchego burger and every single desserts with a special mention for the "Gypsy's arm" and the "crema catalana"
