It was great to spend a hot sultry evening enjoying a delicious meal in a well established restaurant in Narbonne. Located in a tiny street off a main road but close to the centre centre and cathedral, it is worth the time to find the restaurant. Our meal was very tasty, the service very friendly and helpful. Eating outside on... More

We sat outdoors. Very nice atmosphere. Generous portions. Wines are local and well chosen. Grilled food perfect. We had duck and scallops as mains.

In the comfortable chairs in the little "salon" we treated ourselves with roasted mussels, wood smoked squid and roasted swordfish - all of them quite delightful. Service was fine and friendly, the atmosphere of the place pleasant. If you're in the mood for a "strong" dessert, the Général awaits you ... As a famous movie-line stated : "I shall return".

The mussel appetizer is amazing. Great meal cooked over open fire. Had the scallops and bacon wrapped pork medallions. Both excellent. Good service, nice atmosphere. Only miss was the foi groi, too cold

This restaurant was on the list recommended by our Hotel. It did not disappoint anyone in our group of four. We each had a seafood main course and shared a bottle of Corbiers white wine. My swordfish was nicely cooked and served with vegetables for Euro 18. The entire bill was Euro 91, which I thought was reasonable. Service was... More

I advise booking as the restaurant was full. The decor is interesting, the ambience very French, and the food is good. Recommended!

Recommended by our hotel close by ( La Residence also excellent) we and our two friends had dinner here. The host Manuel was charming, helpful, and very hospitable. The fare was simple but elegant, generous portions , well prepared and well presented. Meats and fish are cooked over the open fire which also creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The... More

A friend recommended Meli Melo for good food and decorative accessories for the home. You can buy almost anything in the restaurant/showroom, a clever and possibly exciting combination. The pictures on the walls, tables, candelabras, desk lamps, decorations and much more were for sale. So too was the food in the moderately priced menu that featured some regional fare including... We were greeted by our friendly waitress and shown to our table. Plenty to choose from on the menu and explanations and recommendations willingly given. The decor is unusual with dark hangings odd bits of furniture and lamps, but it all seemed to work. Food delicious our second waitress just as friendly and helpful. Go here next time you visit...
