Ate here last night as we read the other reviews and most seemed good. The service was OK and you can eat outside. We had foie gras, lamb, beef, a quarter bottle of house red and a bottle of water. Food seemed OK at the time but as a result we have BOTH been ill all day with vomiting and... More

We ate here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was full but not loud or overcrowded. Just families and couples enjoying good food, wine and time together. We had 3 starters - a grilled goats cheese salad, oysters (in their shells) cooked in a delicious cheese sauce, and baked eggs with smoked salmon and spinach - followed by 3 mains... More

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our hotel, Marquis de Baume, recommended this restaurant and we were very grateful that they had. The service was top class, water and crisps arrived almost as soon as we had sat down and the waiter was very friendly and attentative. My wife started with melon and ham and commented that it... Attentive waiters both wine and food. Good atmosphere. Good selection of menu items, well presented and cooked . Recommend the lamb.

Great starters, mussels and a prawn cocktail! Brandade more like baby food, puréed but tasty. Excellent entrecôte, thicker than usual, not too many chewy bits for once, good herb butter, salad and chips. Desserts good, Colonel sorbet and peche Melba. Service good although had to ask to pay. Wine list ok but not much under 20€, pichet very good. Bottles... More

The staff were quite friendly and quickly seated outside - they even took note that one seat was not totally sheltered from the sun! The menu offered us sufficient choice with a set meal for our smallest and classic French (duck and beef) plus a scallop lasagna. Service was efficient but not hurried nor did we feel rushed. The servings... More

Great service and delicious! My first intuition was 4 stars but then I said what would make it better? Our hotel recommended this lovely restaurant nestled under the trees with a lively Spanish quartet. I had delicious joules prepared escargot style with a perfectly grilled sea bass with homemade mash potatoes and a zucchini flan. The house wines were not... More

Sitting in a quiet square slightly away from the tourist trail, Les Magnolias is a pleasant little place for dinner. We sat outside underneath the magnolia trees and enjoyed the sounds of the fountain. We were very early so had the place to ourselves. The menu offers meat and fish, but not masses of choice. To me, this is a... More

We had arrived in Nimes after a long drive from Geneva. Even as we drove in we had a sinking feeling from the shabbiness which contrasted so strongly with opulent Switzerland. Our hotel was a disaster (will not name and shame here) and we had not realized we were arriving at a BULL-FIGHT weekend which gave the whole city an... More
