We were advised to go to La Maison de la Lozere and were fortunate enough to get their last table in the courtyard. This is exceptionally good cooking and we were glad we opted for the wine pairings at €30 each. The suckling pig was excellent as was the chocolate soufflé. At €254 for two this was fully priced but... More

I had the pleasure to try this original & creative cook thanks to a local friend for a business dinner where I couldn't fail...! Our guest was frankly impressed by the professionalim of the whole team and the quality of the food. I was myself also impressed by the reasonable price for such a good & successful dinner. I will... This is a good venue for a pampered meal. The service is exceptional, and while the entree and main dish were good, the amuse bouche stood out on the the night that I dined here. Attractive use of flowers in the food, some showmanship with the serving (especially the aligot twirling), and a skilled sommelier who will guide you through... More

Delicious, amazing experience, and extremely helpful waitstaff. Our adorable waitress insisted that she translate everything on the menu as everyone in our party did not speak French. Every dish was among the best I'd ever had...and then there was the aligot. Life. Altering. How did a cheese and carb devotee like me not know this existed?! Go hungry and adventerous.... More

Good if you're a foodie. Creative presentation and flavor-mixing. Nice wine list. Definitely not a budget restaurant.

Me and my pals were visiting the city because of the Basketball games for European championship. As I guessed that the gamefood would sort reach its limits, I asked for recommendations from a local friend. He recommended the Lozere for the purpose. Good call, we got what we ordered. Also the restaurants specialty, aioli was presented as a must. Try... More

This was recommended by friends who live in Montellier and I ate there twice while teaching there for the past three weeks. The setting is an inner courtyard so common in Montpellier. The space is small, but the tables are not overcrowded and it feels airy and is comfortable in the late evening heat of the summer. On weekends and... More

Lovely setting, but cuisine no more than a partially successful attempt at gourmet cooking. At the prices they charge, I would not visit again or recommend it to anyone.

I visited on a Saturday night (I was fortunate to get a booking) and the restaurant was full. We were greeted courteously, seated promptly and attended to in a timely fashion. The menu contained sufficient choices for all in our party. The wine list was very extensive and the sommelier was knowledgeable about the different vintages of our red wine... More

We visited this restaurant as it was near our hotel and recommended by the hotel owner. The cuisine was very refined, inventive and exquisitely presented. I was very impressed by some of the special touches, such as a rustic potato purée and garlic accompanying the main dish. The dessert was perfection, a gorgeous creation of genoise with pistachio mousse and... More
