I and my friend Valerie, have been traveling a lot through different countries. This year we have decided to travel across the France to see different traditions, specific sides of this country ) we were happy to be in Monpellie and tasted this magnificent meal! We ordered soup - the first best soup after two cities in France - fish... More

Most dishes were oily, tasteless and pricey. Any fish and chips in London would serve better dishes than here let apart a proper fish restaurant as this is supposed to be one of them ! Good luck to future visitors

Sitting outside is the best. The razor clams were awesome as was the crudo! The whole sea bream fish was perfectly seasoned. The calamari á la plancha was fantastic!

I had oysters, and they were delicious. Both my friend and I had the beignets maison de calamars. They were very good and crispy when hot, but for our taste there was much too much dough. However, extremely nice atmosphere, a very French place that is totally recommendable!

Given other reviews, it looks as if care is needed when choosing a meal in this maritime themed small restaurant. Our starters (razor clams and tempura prawns) were excellent, the clams very fresh and simply dressed with olive and parsely, and the batter on the prawns light and crispy. Mains were also good, the scallop pasta with a mild squid... More

After reading good reviews, my son had booked this restaurant for the first night of our weekend in Montpellier to visit our French family. We were the first customers to arrive and took the set menu - choosing fish soup and the 'fish of the day' en papillote. The soup was watery and tepid and was accompanied by croutons that... More

Wow, what a find! Fresh, simply prepared fish in Montpellier! Varied menu, but not too big. You can also order a day or two ahead to be sure he will have a whole fish of your choice! Small restaurant, so book ahead. They also own the seafood place across the street! Highly recommended

The food needs improvement ..... The starter fish soup was missing a good taste (looked like diluted). Not all main plates were good (fish and chips were very English > so taste-less). And the ultimate deception was the "cafe au lait" which was a coffee with a cup of artificial milk from the supermarket. After complaining, the waitress apologized and... More

'When in Rome...' is a good rule of thumb, so in Montpellier one should eat fish! Having read "36 Hours in Montpellier" (NY Times, Aug.12,2012) in preparation, we had to find La Morue, down the smallest streets in the old part of the city. (the sign reads,'La Morue' The Cod) but they could be wrong, of course :-) Our experience... More

Excellent food at a reasonable price. Portions a little on the small side. Waitress was brilliant but the wait to be served was far too long. Seating outside was our only option and was not pleasant when traffic tried to negotiate the narrow lane.
