Lunch time in Montpellier, there are a lot of restaurants especially in the tourist center "place de la comedie" so we walked around looking for some smaller restaurants and finally decided to got to Le Passionne. The three-course menu was 18euros and totally worth it, please take a look at my pictures to see what I ate.. Heaven.. would def.... More

The food can be good. The place- cool. But to my mind the restaurant to be remembered should be an impression. That One is def the impression- true, positive, seriouse! 130 euro very well spend for 2 degustation menues- plus One compliment dish for our kid- bar filette with sweet potato puree- quite a respect for 5 year old boy!... We stayed for one night in Montpellier at the The Best Western Hotel (also recommended) where the receptionist recommended this restaurant. It is a few yards from the hotel, in a slightly down beat part of town. The young waitress was very efficient and helpfull. All the food was fantastic and the price was very reasonable. Can't say fairer than... More

We tried it last summer for dinner in one of our visits to Montpellier on business. We found it outstanding: Fresh, Innovative, tasty, beautiful food. We went back to Montpelier and were disappointed that our schedule did not allow for dinner. So we tried lunch: Not only was as delicious as dinner but great value @ Euro18.00 including wine and... Great food. Perfect menu for a couple. We ordered a table after the hotel receptionist advised us to come here. We walked around the city to try and find a better restaurant acording to tripadvisor.. After 30 minutes we gave up... And that was the best thing becouse we would have missed this small gem of a restaurant.

Spotted this restaurant whilst looking for "Le Cyrilou". The area is rather on the grotty side, but just a couple of blocks down from Place de la Comédie. This probably is why it is such excellent value. It is pristine in appeareance and ditto for the interior. It seats about 25 max I'd think, so best to book. The offer... More

This restaurant is close to the Place de la Comédie but on the more rundown, non-pedestrian side. But don't be put off by the street address; this is a little hidden gem. We had a set menu at 32 euros : starter, main and dessert. There were only 3 choices for each course, but I took that as a good... More

We set out to find another restaurant that had great reviews in TripAdvisor but they were shut so we turned around and said, "that'll do". We were not dissapointed. Service was fast, freindly (and pretty). We got a little bowl of olives (free) to kick off while we waited then a little plate with tasters (free) then a lovely meal... More

Recommended by the hotel. Very high quality food very well presented. I had the foie gras which was very good and the beef (cooked for 7 hours apparently) was so tender you could almost swallow it whole! My friends had the quail & hake (the only other choices) were also excellent. I have to say that a short menu well... More

... Or so said an article in a newspaper I found when I was verifying where to eat in Montpellier (in fact the article implied that that was its new name, which I did consider a trifle unlikely!) Fortunately, having gone to this restaurant several times in its previous incarnation you could have led me blindfolded from the Place de... More
