OK lots of incomprehensible praise for this place. Yes it is different and inexpensive but our party of five between 61 and 24 found the food combinations uninviting and candidly have used it as a bizarre negative reference point on this trip. Every time we see a shot glass anywhere we immediately posit bizarre food combinations like grasshopper ketchup creme... More

Interesting concept , visually and for several different tastes. Warm, cold, veggie, fish, meat all in small portions.. but in number. Firstly salty, to end with desserts and again from chocolate mousse to creme brulee. To be honnest for two the proposal of12 + 6 was perfect but before desserts I choose 6 more salty because some of them deserve... More

Excellent restaurant, if you're passing through Montpellier it's a must do food experience. Great concept of neat and flavour full dishes served in small glasses. There is something for everyone, meat lover, vegetarian and even vegan. In addition to this the service is excellent with the owner/host making you feel at home. Don't miss out!

Second time here and did not disappoint. We loved the selection of verrines and slightly different approach. Our host Jean Daniel made us feel very welcome and speaks excellent English if required. This restaurant epitomizes what we love about Montpellier, friendly, vibrant and new, but based on a good foundation. A l`annee prochaine!

The food was okay, nothing spectacular and you could taste that it was not very fresh. The waiter also had difficulty with my boyfriends nut allergy... Fortunately it all went well but if you have a severe allergy I do not suggest you go there.

Although it is a very pleasant and unique experience to eat in small glasses, I was still a little bit hungry after I Ieft. To have my stomach satisfied, I should have paid around 30 euros for 12 or 13 verrines + a glass of wine. The place itself is quite small and doesn't have the comfortable feeling you might... More

An excellent choice for the restaurant avec verrines. All the tasty recipes were served in small glaces (2,20 euros per glass or 18 per person - desserts are included). The menu was also for vegetarians like myself and my personal favorite"Tapioca" (special pasta). The restaurant was easy to find just opposite to Corum and 5min walk from the central square... More

Bonjour! thank you for your visit and your review. at playfood we want to be able to welcome everyone, no matter what they prefer (or prefer not) eat. Playfood plays in the stomach groove, offering a unique combination of tastes packed in the verres classiques. My personal favourites dishes (and highly recommended) was a mix of potatoes and bacon with a (French sauce, if I got it correctly), a magnificent blend of goat cheese and radishes, and the all time classic mousse chocolate.. The menu is even more... More

This place is great. The guy was really friendly and helpful and spoke English really well describing all the dishes to us. Though the food can be just as expensive as most other places around France for what you get as you need a few to really fill up this place was a welcome change for a vegetarian in France.... More
