We were having trouble finding a place open on a Sunday night when we passed this place. Very few tables, but very friendly staff. It's always nice to be able to see into the kitchen, too (the chef was wearing a very smart grey top). The staff speak very good English (almost all the customers were Anglophones) and the food... Amazing food cocked just right, not too salty nor over-spicy, the magic of mixing and choosing the fresh ingredients. Great waitresses explain all the details in English. Nice place!

What a pleasure to eat here! From our first greeting to the final goodbye this was quite a delight. Our greeter offered a table inside, and when we said we wanted to eat outside he said it might rain. And it did a little later so we had to come in. No problem at all. Our waitress was so friendly... We had a lovely supper here on a Thursday evening. The menu is small (Gordon Ramsey would be happy) but includes a good selection of fresh fish and meat dishes. We shared a couple of starters followed by delicious mains and a few puddings. The only oddity was vanilla in the potato with the sea bream. Wine was lovely and... More

My husband and I ate here twice during our recent holiday! The staff are very friendly and the food was delicious! I had the tuna tartar on my second visit, having had grilled fish on my first visit - which was also delightful! The tuna tartar was mixed with lime and herbs and was lovely, light and refreshing! My husband... More

We arrived with great expectaions after reading all good comments. After 15 minutes, we GOT the menu. They did not serve menues, only single dishes. Very small menu, small and quite expensive starters.. The gambas cigar for 14euro was max 2 gambas. The meat dishes was ok, too soft fries. The fish dishes was delicate and clean, but not very... Shocked to find the restaurant closed on a very busy week day! We have eaten here several times before and have never found it closed! Seemed to be the Only Restaurant not open in Collioure on a busy Tuesday!!

Situated in a pedestrian laneway of Collioure El Capillo looks cute & when we stopped in to make a reservation for dinner the staff were very friendly. However the food was expensive & disappointing. The highlight was the tuna tartare, this was excellent, however the seabass & turbot were over cooked, under seasoned & the portions were small. The desserts... More

Excellent food. Very attentive service. Wonderful wine choices. Try the Gambas en cigar (delicious) and the Entremets chocolat.
