Very friendly staff, helpful and nice. The starter and the wine was tasty but the main courses were plain at best.

We were heading for one of the restaurants in Place Carnot, when we passed La Comedie, which was busy but in a quieter location- always a good sign. As the weather was a bit damp we looked inside and there was a nice feeling about the place. From then on we were well looked after by the owner Stefan and... More

Tgis is a good place for a French breakfast of pain au chocolate & croissant's. Its also good for coffees & hot chocolates. Additionally, it good later in the day for a cocktail, beer or glass of wine in addition to a coffee.

Can't say anything bad about the place. Found it accidentally while wondering past trying to get out of the rain. It didn't look like much on the outside but once inside it was like you were in an old French painting. Nothing but locals were there for lunch. It was great classic French food. I had an onion soup and... More

After a long stroll and a couple of stop offs for drinks we decided to look for somewhere to eat. It looked reasonably busy so we chanced it. We were really glad we did, it's opposite the theatre and they actually have a pre theatre menu, it was really busy with a nice buzz about the place, front of house... More

One last stop in Carcassonne city before for we fly home. A very chilled and relaxing time spent drinking coffee and watching the world go by in this lovely cafe.

Having had a late lunch, we didn't eat dinner til late. We wandered around looking at menus and whilst standing outside Cafe de la Comedie the owner approached us and handed us a menu which included English. We decided to eat here and very pleased we did. The food was great and so was the service despite a language barrier... More

After driving from Marseilles to Carcassonne and getting lost along the way a few times we were famished. It was after 3pm when we got to our apt. We thought it might be impossible to get a good lunch anywhere at this time of day. After walking into the main town, through the arch, across from the fountain, we came... More
