Really hidden gem. Completely unassuming from the outside but great food. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted superb.

Had a small table in the front of restaurant which to start we had a grump to ourselves about. However, the waiter and the quality of food made up for it! Service was great, food just excellent and wine at reasonable prices. The hype of...the ancient cite is great…..just don’t forget the living bastide town itself.More

I dined here with two friends last week on a short break in Carcassonne. The food was exceptional, each dish carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The desserts were 'show stopping' works of art with intense flavour. I intend to return to Carcassonne again and plan...another visit.More

Located not far from the busy Place Carnot this is a little gem of a restaurant. It has a beautiful lower dining room with an arched stone ceiling with capacity for about 16 diners. Upstairs on street level is even smaller but not nearly as...nice. Lovely menu with good variety for €32/€37 for 2/3 courses. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I had the oeuf mollet followed by the chicken dish and my partner had the mackerel starter then the pork. We couldn’t believe how tasty every mouthful was. After eating dinner in 2 mediocre restaurants in Place Carnot the previous nights, we were delighted with our find for our last supper in Carcassonne. Highly recommended!More

This was my favourite restaurant for lunch 2 years ago before it changed opening times. After many disappointing meals locally I saw it was open for Sunday lunch.. it wasn't busy but I was not disappointed. Every plate was meticulously prepared and delicious. Starter fresh...smoked trout, Pintade that melted in the mouth in a delicious creamy sauce .. a fruit dessert (said framboise but seemed more black currant) which looked fabulous and exploded with flavour and contrasts in the mouth. My friend was equally impressed. Well done, must be the best restaurant in Carcassonne now ... highly recommended.More

Made the reservation via facebook - Was slightly disappointed that some dishes had been sold out, but this is a very small restaurant. The octopus was really nice (and not sold out, thankfully), as was the tuna. For mains we had rooster and I had...tuna. All really tasty - Service was a little slow, but with only 2 staff that not a surprise. Great job guys - We look forward to returning.More

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. We ate here last night and it was absolutely outstanding- great food beautifully presented. Octopus salad for starters, husband had monkfish for mains and was blown away with the flavour combinations and such a...good sized portion. I had the beef with potato and beetroot, great flavours and the meat just melted in your mouth. The lemon mousse with pistachio cake inside was absolutely outstanding and a perfect ending to a fabulous meal. Both the waitress and chef were very friendly and the table downstairs was a great experience. 100% recommend.More

Absolutely Rockstar! One of France's greatest up and coming chefs. One of the friendliest, most energetic and most original experiences I've ever had the pleasure of. Forget all the others. This is Carcassonne's best restaurant For the dishes, the use of curry and balance with...octopus as a starter was super tasty and very moreish, I wanted to eat more. For the Chapon, chef had chosen an amazing bird and picked apart the meat, then stuffed with homemade tapendade before rolling back in the skin in a hot pan with crushed potatoes and garlic. It was simply amazing!!! And finally, wlel just look at the photos. Pistachio cake, Lemon mousse, lemon boulles, white chocolate... a dessert that blows you away. It's our second time here but it seems like the first, it's moved such a great distance. If you like Mediterranean Food and French food you're going to love this! The place is simply extraordinary!More

We made a booking by telephone the day before and when we arrived at the restaurant it was closed! It was our last night in Carcassonne and we wanted the evening to be special so booked here. Their web page and the sign in the...door indicated that it should have been open and there was no message stating why it was closed. We’ve been left incredibly disappointed and advise others to be careful if they wish to dine here.More

La table de la Bastide is my go-to place in Carcassonne. The food is excellent, 5 star, and the plating is like a painting by Matisse.
