This small restaurant is located within a side street in the medieval city of Carcassone. The decor is amazing, staff are very helpful and welcoming, and food is divine! This is a fine dining restaurant, so prices are above average, but its worth every penny! There are fixed price menus which are of good value, or one can opt for... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at this wonderful little restaurant within the old city walls in Carcassonne. Nestled at the end of a tiny cobbled street, they produce wonderful French food with excellent service; tables are covered with sparkling white linen tablecloths and napkins. We chose from the €45 menu with three courses, each of which was perfect (I chose... More

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at this first floor (NB stairs only - no lift) restaurant within the medieval city with magnificent views over the walls to the countryside beyond. It is an utterly delightful, family-run enterprise with a menu which is to die for and a wine list which offers a choice rather than... More

A lovely restaurant in a lovely setting. There isn't an enormous choice of food but I could have eaten anything on the menu. The wine list is extensive with something for everyone at every price point. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and their English was excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Had a fantastic lunch at La Marquiere whilst visiting Carcassonne. We saw the menu outside and thought that it looked reasonable and I was looking for some fish. When we went inside I really didn't expect what we got and actually felt under dress for the occasion. The food was spectacular and we also received a complimentary dessert.

Nice people, nice food, fancy, but not over the top. The food here is always presented well, and ranges from very good to spectacular. Nice wines at fair prices too.

We tend not to enjoy the five course gastronomy dinners that many find enjoyable; too long, too pretentious, too many courses we either don't like or (for one reason or another) can't eat, and too expensive. This one, in the old city tucked away in a corner, is a perfect compromise. Wonderful, interesting food, great wine partings, and especially, very... More

Booked this restaurant for a Saturday evening because due to unforeseen circumstances it was closed on the following Tuesday which was our preferred date. Was amazed that although I had booked over the internet they knew the background to it and apologised for the circumstances. Staff were friendly and professional. The starters and main courses were superb. The sweet was... More

My wife and I had just moved in to our new (1650's) house in Carcassonne and there can be no better place to have a celebratory meal. The service, food, atmosphere and the friendliness just keep us coming back again and again.
