Superb location overlooking the castle. Great service for a late lunch. Only snack menu available - it was past three - but tasty well prepared food. Popped back later in the week just for a glass of wine or two in a great location. Very pleasing.

This place was recommended to us by someone from Carcassonne. It is in a nice quiet square by the city wall. I had a very nice Caesar salad and lovely ice cream for dessert. My husband had their basic menu of the day (€13) and he also really liked it. This place is sensibly priced and the staff are friendly... More

Not sure why this place has had such bad reviews. We loved it. We had been told the eatery served food late into the evening but couldn't find it the previous evening. The next day we were determined to find it and see if the food lived up to the recommendation. It did. The sunshine was at it's height and... More

We went the once and returned a few days after because the food was very good. We ordered the steak, the cassoulet (which we felt was far better than the rest we have tried in carcasonne) and I particularly like their marinated anchovies. They also offer very good desserts and a small alcoholic drink (?brandy) after dinner for free. However,... More

The restaurant is in a lovely spot. The prices were average. The food was mediocre, which isn't surprising I guess as customers are 100% tourists. The server was flippant, inefficient and unprofessional. Skip it

Horrible place! The waiters do not see visitors. We waited 40 minutes for the card and no one appeared. Service rude and not helpfull. They can't speak English or do not want to. Food: in one word? Horrible Salad : Lettuce was old and brown. Besides letucce and the four pieces of tomato there was nothing else. Cassoulette: beans, fat... More

Stopped here for lunch during a day trip to Carcassone. The menu outside indicated that there were a fair number of lighter lunch options other than the popular 3 course fixed price menu. The restaurant is nicely located and gave some protection from the winds experienced by other restaurants nearby. We were given menus and ordered promptly and the drinks... More

A perfect setting outside on the terrasse of the fortress. All the staff spoke English, but the two male waiters were somewhat unhelpful and seemed a little disdainful of 'English' speaking tourists ( from NZ actually). The female waitress was very pleasant. The meals were of average quality, nothing flash. Did not have dessert. We asked for the bill, which... More

Chose 26 euro menu for dinner. Starter OK foie gras salad - so no cooking involved. Cassoulet lacked flavour no herbs or seasoning and as for deserts creme brulee very average tiramisu truly awful! Service was very offhand AND RUDE! The male waiters would obviously rather be doing anything else but wait at table. Attempted a rip off with bill... More
