Love their Crepes My first time to have had Briezh crepe was actually in Yokohama, Japan. When I sat down, I noticed it was a branch of the one in Paris. Therefore, soon as I had the opportunity to visit Paris I wanted to visit...their shop and have their crepes! What a treat. I asked my friend to come with me to try it. We actually ordered each plus a dessert one to have our fill for the afternoon. We forgot we had a dinner appointment after an hour. But it was worth having our crepes we cannot have again till our next visit. I certainly will leave space in my next trip to have Briezh Cafe l’s crepes! They also have their own cider now.More

I went to Briezh for the one vegan crepe on offer. The crepe itself was quite good, the buckwheat was and earthy and nutty. The vegetables inside were traditional it seemed. The staff was so kind to help us choose a wine. All in all...we had a good time sitting outside.More

in Paris, one HAS to have crepes, so we went to the place best known for their crepes and galetes; with a reservation, we had indoor seating, although we were placed next to the open door to the outdoor seating, so not only was there...a stiff cool breeze, but wait staff moving back and forth (despite many other seats available). On the other hand, the galettes were amazing, full of flavor, the wine perfect, and the dessert crepes wonderful and requiring a 30 min walk to digest! A treat for those with a major sweet craving!More

Go during a non-peak time (weekday late afternoon, ideally in the off-season) for the best experience. I've never had a bad meal here - I always go for a savory buckwheat galette, usually just oeuf-jambon-fromage suisse or mushroom and caramelized onion, with a little carafe...of Breton cider. What could be better?More

My husband and I recently had dinner here during our week vacation in Paris, visiting from NYC. And our meal at Breizh Cafe Le Marais was definitely the low point. I had the Savoyarde and my husband had the Cancalaise, both of which were decent....The low rating is due to a very unfortunate interaction with a staff member named Clement, an interaction that rendered the meal tasteless. When we came in, Clement was the first person who approached us, and I told him (in French) that we had a reservation for 2 people. He quickly said something in French that I didn't catch, then he grabbed 2 menus, and started walking down the hallway. We used context clues and assumed he was leading us to our table. When he saw that we were following him, he quickly became agitated and started scolding us in French. My French is limited, and given that the interaction had now become charged, I started using English and told him that "I don't understand". He then switched to English as well and told us to wait at the entrance and he would get back to us. While that interaction was brief, it completely ruined our experience at Breizh Cafe. Us American tourists are wary of the stereotype of French people being rude and treating English-speakers with disdain. And I'm happy to say that our week in Paris has disabused me of that notion, as all of the French people we interacted with were very patient and welcoming of us. All except Clement at Breizh Cafe. I believe it's people like Clement and interactions like ours that create the aforementioned negative stereotypes about French people. During our meal, I pointed out to Clement that he had been rude to us earlier, and we felt he owed us an apology. Which he gave, with the excuse that he was just very busy. While I accepted his apology, I still don't believe there's ever an excuse for disrespecting customers. While our experience at Breizh Cafe was unfortunate, the bright side is it made us appreciate the great service and the basic respect we were given at all other establishments during our week in Paris. Given the vulnerability of going to a foreign country and not being completely fluent in the spoken language, being treated with respect is essential, and shouldn't be too much to ask.More

Wanted to go to a creperie while in Paris and we were staying the Marais. This was well regarded on the internet and by Rick Steves with good reason. Amazing crepes and wonderful staff. Really great place to get authentic Bretone galette.

I visited just to try a dessert crepe after a long walk, and while the wait staff initially spoke English to me as I responded in French, eventually they began speaking French to me as I kept talking. The crepe I ordered was a delicious...matcha green tea ice cream scoop on top of a brown sugar crepe cooked and served warm. I was able to sit inside because of the wasps that kept attacking the food outside, and the comfort from the window overlooking the street and the warm shop atmosphere was an incredible experience. The crepe was a bit expensive for the size, but if you have spare euros to spend, I would recommend trying a dessert here.More

The Breizh Cafe in La Marais would have to provide the best galettes. I tried the Andouillette sausage - an acquired taste.

After a long morning in crowded museums (tip: avoid the massive crowds on the main "Mona Lisa" floor of the Louvre and see the awesome and uncrowded upper wings - there's so much great art up there! And go to places like the Pompidou in...the morning), we were starving. Walking tired and hungry into the Marais, we were in the mood for crepes and felt lucky the Breizh Cafe was nearby. Our luck continued with the welcoming, friendly service and continued with what were probably the best crepes and galettes we ever had. This place is the real deal. You get savoury square buckwheat galettes and delicious sweet crepes. A family of four, we tried a number of them and they were each truly, truly delicious. Even the house brand of soda was notably better than usual! It was just supposed to be a quick bite grabbed on the go but ended up being one of the nicest lunches we had in Paris!More

Delicious and Authentic crepes. Fresh vegetables fruit in each bite. The cider was poignant but we had it for the experience. The artichokes, ham and egg crepe was tasteful.

This place is great. Great sweet crepes and savoury ones. Nice location. You can sit outside. Good service too. Mainly Breton cuisine with a slight Japanese twist in some dishes.

Delicious, I couldn’t decide between savory and sweet so had both. Cider complimented both. The Nordic crepe was with buckwheat and unusual but nice and the the apple compote melted in your mouth.

This is the antidote to typical heavy and rich French food while still embracing the French experience. The galettes/crepes were delicious, both savory and sweet. It’s a relaxed, cafe type atmosphere with friendly staff (they all spoke English), and simple but delicious food. Nothing fussy...here, just good quality food for a fair price. If you come here, expect to eat crepes/galettes. This is the type of place you can come to eat any time of day, and visit multiple times while you are here.More
