With a couple of chefs who came straight from Thailand, we are sure to find the flavors of the country and the warmth of a family restaurant. The rice is excellent and the price too!!!!!!!

Yet another return to this amazing, but tiny restaurant. This time we find that the ownership has changed hands which was a little worrying at first, thoughts that were very quickly dispelled. Service was almost immediate and as previously very cheerfully presented. Although there was...a large family gathering of a dozen or more taking place service to our table was very quick. We chose five plates, Pad Thai, Bo Bun, Seua Rong Haï (Crying Tiger Beef), Chicken in Ginger and a selection of Lao starters, crispy beef and Lao sausage. We may have ordered more, because all the food is so appealing, but the tiny tables will not accommodate much more, which is a great shame. All the dishes can be spiced to your own level of pain/pleasure. With two beers the total cost was 59€, an absolute bargain. We will return many time in the future.More

We popped into Lao Chaleune for lunch and were very glad we did. It is small and friendly, with quick service and excellent value for money. Most importantly the food was absolutely sensational! I've never eaten such delicious crispy duck and the sticky rice was...both fun and very tasty. It was a brilliant meal. Can't wait to go back!More

I had a wonderful Sunday lunch at this place : the food is simple and extremely good! I was with a Lao friend and he told me that the dishes are typically Lao. The crispy rice, the Lao dried meat and sausages, steam-cooked fish were...delicious! And its even possible to taste Lao desserts, I really enjoyed. Do not hesitate to visit, you won't regret!More

I often go there with friends or family. The service is good, the food is really nice. I highly recommend the Bo Bun! It’s a pity that the room is very small.

This small, family-run restaurant was a treasure! Gracious service, accommodated our large group without a reservation. Our group was especially fond of the pork rolls ("nems"), fish cakes, pad thai, and a chicken appetizer wrapped in long lotus leaves. Soups were mixed, with one of...the fish soups being my favorite. The duck version of the coconut soup was the only disappointment due to the chewiness of the meat; it would have been better if the duck had been stewed and shredded. Choose a seafood version instead, and I think you'll be happy with it.More

Lao Chaleune was a very nice discovery! The restaurant is small and from the outside it does not look attractive but it is well worth a visit! The food is very good and the service is super friendly. They have some nice thai and laös...special dishes which were very tasty! So I'm sure we will come back!More

This place was around the corner from our hotel, the food was very fresh and delicious. They don't speak much english, but there are pictures on the menu, so we pointed and smiled and everyone was happy. Great food for a great price.
