Good neighborhood standby

The measure of a good restaurant is often WHO is eating there and what are they eating. In the case of La Cigale Recamier, there are many locals sitting alongside visitors enjoying delicious french fare and notably good soufflés. We went for dinner in June and the food was great as always. I must... read more

I've been loving this restaurant for years, I recommended it to a friend no longer than a couple of days ago, I wrote about it online for a company I used to work fir, it really is, one of my favorite restaurants in Paris and I don't won't to only write an "average" comment. Their soufflés are amazing, their traditional... More

We went back twice in 3 days; the salted caramel soufflé was beyond amazing! Pleasant atmosphere, and the chef--who is a hoot--came out to visit every evening.

If you are a soufflé fan then this restaurant is a must. Make sure to you have a reservation as it is extremely popular. Third time lucky as we tried to get in twice before but to no avail. I decided to try 3 soufflés and thought it would all be too rich. On the contrary. We shared the mushroom... More

We return to this restaurant every time we visit Paris. It serves the best soufflés in Paris. We can have main course or dessert soufflés at the restaurant. We had BOTH. The Grand Marnier is the best. Right in the 6th arrondissement, it is a regular for Paris locals. People complain about the service. Don't even think about it. It... More

A nice evening with good food. Once mistake some of us made was having a souffle for dinner and one for dessert. Much too rich and filling. Getting one of their other main courses followed by one of their very good souffles is the better plan. Disappointing here was the service. Our server was not pleasant nor was she efficient.... I was here in January and went back to check the spring soufflés. Almost no souffle of the winter menu was related in Mays menu. I ate a savory souffle with three cheeses and, for dessert, the elusive caramel soufflé. is highly recommended to book before, especially in the summer ... the queues are often large and the wait, long.

This restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Our party of three all ordered appetizers -- all were good, but the lamb skewers I ordered were fantastic -- the best lamb I have ever had. The main course souffles we had were absolutely excellent -- and I did not think the portions were small at all. The service was... More

The decor has changed. I liked it better before but I wasn't there for that. The soufflés continue to be phenomenal. Had a minor screwup with some of the staff but the manager quickly rectified it and bought us a round of cognacs to make up for it. I wish they put the bottle of Grand Marnier on the table... More
