After much times undergoing renovation, Le Recamier is absolutely amazing. We walked in right at 12 so a reservation was not necessary. The waiters were friendly and very helpful with the menu (I spoke in French but they were just as kind to some nearby English speakers). For me it was a classic cheese soufflé and for my dad, Henri... More

Forget every souffle you've tried in the States.. Go here. See how it's done. Watch one perfect souffle after another leaving the kitchen. Light, fluffy perfection regardless. We had the cheese and the mushroom. Both fabulous. For dessert, look past the chocolate. Go for the pistachio with chocolate sauce. Divine.

This delightful restaurant is located in the heart of the Left Bank shopping area. Famous for their soufflés (available for appetizer, entrée and dessert courses), we found everything on the menu to be exceptional. The chef is a friendly sort who mingles with guests, making everyone feel like a regular. The tables are close together and the restaurant is lively... More

I've been loving this restaurant for years, I recommended it to a friend no longer than a couple of days ago, I wrote about it online for a company I used to work fir, it really is, one of my favorite restaurants in Paris and I don't won't to only write an "average" comment. Their soufflés are amazing, their traditional... More

We went back twice in 3 days; the salted caramel soufflé was beyond amazing! Pleasant atmosphere, and the chef--who is a hoot--came out to visit every evening.

If you are a soufflé fan then this restaurant is a must. Make sure to you have a reservation as it is extremely popular. Third time lucky as we tried to get in twice before but to no avail. I decided to try 3 soufflés and thought it would all be too rich. On the contrary. We shared the mushroom... More

We return to this restaurant every time we visit Paris. It serves the best soufflés in Paris. We can have main course or dessert soufflés at the restaurant. We had BOTH. The Grand Marnier is the best. Right in the 6th arrondissement, it is a regular for Paris locals. People complain about the service. Don't even think about it. It... More

A nice evening with good food. Once mistake some of us made was having a souffle for dinner and one for dessert. Much too rich and filling. Getting one of their other main courses followed by one of their very good souffles is the better plan. Disappointing here was the service. Our server was not pleasant nor was she efficient.... The measure of a good restaurant is often WHO is eating there and what are they eating. In the case of La Cigale Recamier, there are many locals sitting alongside visitors enjoying delicious french fare and notably good soufflés. We went for dinner in June and the food was great as always. I must admit the service was absolutely terrible,... More
