Warmly recommend!!! The boat, service, music- all perfect. Food is excellent: you can choose from two different menus. We have ordered both: me cheaper and my husband more expensive option. They are both great, it is a metter of your choice what you would like to eat and how much. Once you contact them you will get all information from... More

Found Le Calife on TripAdvisor, having had the best reviews. Read their website, menus on offer & we decided that this was the cruise we wanted. Easy to book online, availability online is one month before the date you want to book. Once you book, you have to call & pay your deposit. Very simple & efficient, English speaking for... More

Yes, it can be too touristy. Yes, you don't usually get decent meals on a boat. But this is Paris! Take the risk and book on this great dinner boat and enjoy the sites of the greatest city on earth. Food is not bad, wine good, view fantastic. You'll be comfortable and well served.

This dinner cruise really stands our from the rest on offer in Paris. The boat is traditional and is a very classy and romantic setting for a special occasion. (Many of the other dinner cruises on offer are huge glass boats which from the outside look tired and cramped.) We had been worried that there might be lots of old... More

This boat was quaint and appeared to us to be a much better option than the huge boats stuffed with hundreds of people. We made this our first night's event. Actually we did very little the first day, due to being jet lagged. We did meander our way to he boat and then the dinner cruise was our choice for... More

I found this dinner cruise here on Trip Advisor and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We ordered the less expensive meal and had zero complaints. It even had an option that worked for my vegetarian teen (rare in Paris). The boat is beautiful, and would be perfect for a romantic meal or even a proposal spot.... More

In our last night in Paris we wanted to do something really spectacular so we booked a dinner cruise on Bateau le Calife and were so glad we did. The boat is docked about a 10-minute walk from our hotel and we arrived earlier than planned. A most gracious young man came out to greet us and let us know... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this dinner cruise. The City of Lights is truly spectacular from the river especially the Eiffel Tower. The food was delicious and the crew members were attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

We love the Calife. This is our 3rd time. Each time it is better. They keep renovating the boat & upgrading the menus. So nice to do a small non-touristy boat. We have been on the boat on a hot summer night, a rainy night & mid November. All wonderful! Do not miss this special night. Pricey, but so worth... More

I had the pleasure to celebrate my October birthday on a perfect fall evening on one of the best intimate river boats that traverse the River Seine. When you book Le Calife online you will be sent an email confirmation. However within 30 days of your reservation you will have to call & provide a 30 euro deposit per person.... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
