So minor things I wasn't very happy about was that I had spoken to them over the phone when I put down a deposit-regarding how it was my boyfriends birthday and what could they do to make it a little special? A candle on the table was offered- when we got there there was a candle on every table. So... More

We were on our honeymoon and it was Valentine's week so most of the people on the dinner cruise were couples. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were delightfully courteous and efficient. Our vegetarian meals were beautifully presented and really tasty. We paid 69Euro for a three course meal and champagne plus 2 hours cruising (each) and given you... More

The dinner cruise on Bateau le Calife was simply magical. The architecture of Paris is fully illuminated at night and you see plenty of it on this two-hour cruise. The food was delicious. Even though it was a cold night in February we were warm and cozy. If you could only have one dinner in Paris this would be the... More

What an amazing night! Beautiful food, charming waiters, seeing Paris by night and from the river was wonderful, and a gorgeous, beautifully kept boat. A must do for anyone visiting the city at any time of year, a hidden gem! Thank you!

We were the only Americans on this truly exquisite, candlelit dinner cruise on a chilly full-mooned February Saturday night, which we took on my birthday in order to see the Eiffel Tour in all its sparkling glory while drinking champagne. Now I know why every table was completely full, with few English-speaking speaking guests.. This is NOT a tourist trap--... More

This is by far the best way you can spend your euros in Paris. The boat is so well looked after, very romantically decorated! We had a bar table because we booked late but I'd actually highly recommend as it's quieter, more roomy and you both get to look out the window! Far more romantic in there. The food was... More

My boyfriend and I came to Paris for our Anniversary and decided to do this the night of. I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences of both of our lives. Not only are the views breathtaking of the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night, the statue of liberty, Notre Dame and many more, the food was INCREDIBLE.... More

Four of us took this dinner cruise on the Seine on a Friday night in February, it was very cold outside but lovely and warm inside the boat. It is a beautiful wooden boat, the staff are very friendly and speak perfect English. The welcome was very warm and once seated we were served lovely Champagne and canapés. There was... More

This was a last minute plan for us and it was probably one of my favorite things we did in Paris. We sat in the back part of the boat and avertable was by the window. The food was fantastic. We had the steak and the quail. It was our anniversary and they brought our desert out with a sparkler.... More

Wooden boat, lanterns, delicious set menu ($70-100pp) waiters in tuxes, as you cruise down the Siene to twinkling EiffelTower and back to Pont Neuf. Charming, romantic. This is why you came to Paris! You wont regret it as you pass by other dinner cruises packed with people. Book and pay a month in advance-bc they reserve for private dinner parties... More

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
