Food delicious. It was wonderful to enjoy such a tasty meal and watch Paris float by. The Eiffle tower was gorgeous lit up and sparkling. A must do!

An absolutely stunning sail and dine in Paris and I couldn't think of anywhere better to do just that. The wooden boat and restaurant was like going back in time. It's a choice of 2 set menus but every bit of it is mouthwatering. A varied choice of good quality wines to go with it. To top all of that... More

Broke a cardinal rule and opted for a dinner cruise (these are rarely pleasant) but this was a great experience. The Seine provides an interesting alternate perspective of Paris and the food and service were very good (in the context of such offerings). The smaller format boat is much nicer than the large commercial craft offering a similar experience. Very... More

A really lovely experience boating down the River Seine whilst eating good food. The service is excellent. A really nice experience that should not be missed. We did the evening meal and it was completely full and not all tourists.

A perfect evening on the Seine with one great view after the other. The food was good, but not as impressive as the experience as a whole.

A fantastic 3+ hour cruise combined with a delightful meal. What more could you want to keep yourself planted firmly in the wife's 'good book'. We both thoroughly enjoyed it greatly and would highly recommend it as a romantic dinner for any couple to experience whilst in Paris.

My husband and I chose to do dinner. Making reservations is easy. The lady who took our reservations spoke English. The meal is superb and so are the views of the city. Our waiter was great and spoke English. The only thing I would advise is that unlike most Parisian restaurants, gratuity is not included in your bill. I would... More

We took a very special dinner cruise on 14 July, which is Bastille Day! The boat has so much character and charm with its polished timber and soft lighting. The tables are nicely spaced out, so you're not sitting on top of other guests. The staff were really lovely and very attentive to specific needs. But by far, the most... More

My wife and I were in Paris for our 10th anniversary and knew we wanted to do a nighttime river cruise on the Seine. We looked at a bunch of options and based on the menu, price and reviews it seemed like Le Calife was by far the best option. We weren't disappointed. The food and service were excellent. And... My girlfriends and were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our 40s and the Calife delivered! We were greeted by Alexandre, the owner, as soon as we got to the boat and we were then provided a glass of champagne. The timing to see the Eiffel tower illuminated was just perfect. The food was great, the wine was good and... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
