If your hotel is near here, skip any other grocery or supermart . You can get everything here and the price is very much the same and they provide paper bags too. Especially good for tourists as sometimes we forgot to bring out the recycled shopping bag when buying mineral water or snacks back. I bought maxim's choco to try... More

Paris has quite a few chocolate and macaron shops, and this place hosts some if the best ones in one place, which makes it great for comparing between them. I did not have much time for shopping during my trip and was able to find great chocolates and macarons here from some of the most famous Parisian brands. They also... More

All good foodies go to heaven, and this is it in Paris, at the galleries Lafayette, better than most food courts, everything is specialized from teas to spices to chocolate. Just totally amazing..

The place is great for that, no doubt! The selection is amazing ( although not cheap) and the wines aren't cheap too. I understand that you pay for the name so it's ok. But the service takes too long to just open a dozen of oysters ( with breaks to chat with everyone they know) and they are also a... More

Large selection and variety of specialty food from grocery, pastry and prepared food, all under one roof. You have to travel around the store to see completely what is available as it is not organized. It is a bit confusing and easy to miss something. However you can pick up some very nice take-out meals or pastry to enjoy at... More

We went into this store just to look around. It is a gourmet market. You can eat there and also purchase groceries. Everything was definitely gourmet. I just loved looking at all the different kids of food. The wines were also a must see. Don't miss this stop if you love food!

We had cabita prosciutto for €6. Baguette Jabugo for €12. Ham was carved very fine from leg ham. Bread was crusty. Also had sauce. The jambon fat melted in the mouth. We went up to the top floor over the road to eat. You can't eat the takeaway food on Lafayette gourmet premises.

Every time we visit Paris we include the food court that is across the street and part of the Galeries Lafayette. It is a huge place with different kind of food where you can sit and enjoy your meal and also a grocery store where you can buy products from around the world to take home or a take away... More

This is the classiest food court you will ever visit and probably the most expensive. The selection is over whelming. From pastries to caviar. There is a combination of restaurants and take out places. The food is of very high quality and just beautiful to look at. You will have a ball taking it all in.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
