We were visiting for a trade show in January. The restaurants around the Porte-de -Versailles were consistently booked and we found them to not offer the food quality we were longing for in Paris. Le Grand Pan was the perfect spot. A family restaurant in a charming neighborhood.

If you want to feel be part of the Parisian Bo-Bo (Artsy-bourgeois) inhabitants, in a remote place where you find only one other related restaurant (le petit pan) just across the street, with welcoming staff and relatively close to other customers when eating (but "happy few" ones), if you want to eat simple, good food (sometimes added with extra ingredients... This was by far the best quality beef we have had in all of our visits to Paris and it was prepared melt in your mouth perfect! . Small and busy Le Grand Pan is worth a visit. Had a little of everything on the menu and it was tops!!!

Le Grand Pan does not require a fresh review following another outstanding October 2016 dinner. It is not a Diary “Favorite” for nothing. But rereading my comments from earlier meals fails to fully convey how good and how unusual this small, out of the way, casual, crowded, informal, meat-centric bistro really is. Rare in recent years – anywhere – we... More

A busy place where it is recommended to book. This is not a place attended by tourists, and it is not cheap either, but this is a very good choice in this area if you are looking for true fresh traditional French cuisine. For those who are not familiar with cooking, fresh food means limited choice and a reasonable time... More

Good service, lovely atmosphere. Côte de boeuf Limousine was good but not the best I had in Paris of course!

Don't forget to book your table, If not you will not be sure to have a seat. Or be patient! Le grand pan is a very good bistro hold by Chef Benoît Gautier. With is nice south west accent, he stays aware in his very small kitchen. But at the end don't hesitate to go to talk with him. All... More

Loved the atmosphere - very authentic, the waiter(s) - lively, humourus and in a good mood, the food - delicate and traditional french. The wine (de verre) was also very acceptable.

This casual spot is located in a very working class neighborhood. It is perfection. The chef is young and outgoing, the tables are close together and the rustic setting is classic bistro. The food is hearty and insanely delicious.

I had previously visited a number of years ago and wanted to eat here again so I had booked well before visiting. I was glad I had as the place was very busy but the staff had no trouble copeing and were welcoming and friendly. I had the mushrooms to start with a poached egg which I thought was a... More
