This has to be one of my favorite places for drinks in Paris! Besides the drinks being strong and delicious, the food is amazing as well. Nothing beats the great location; in the middle of St. Germain. I can't wait to return!

My memory of this place was one of chicness and style. The drinks were crisp and precise, but unfortunately this is no longer the case. My planteur was watered down and did not have the right amount of the classic ingredients to be a planteur. The creole tasting plate was not good at all except for the crab toasts and... More

I used to taste rhums here, then buy them elsewhere. The choice is 1st class, namely for French territories. You trip advisor are idiot for sure: how can you label this a RESTAURANT?

This is a nice place which looks a bit old, but it's a usual and classic fixture near the Saint Germain des Prés Church on the Boulevard Saint Germain. Place is busy daily around 6pm onward for drinks ahead of heading to dinner, and also nice as a quiet night cap after dinner. Perhaps the best Piña Colada Cocktail in... More

It looks like just another St. Germaine bistor, butthe menu gives you a hint that this isn't typical brasserie food. Every dish has a touch of the Caribbean -- whether in the tangy but not overpowering curry that flavors the sauce on the perfectly cooked salmon, or the dash of rum that adds a little kick to the chicken brochette.... Crowded lively fun - but not so crowded that you don't enjoy it, and the drinks and lightly fried codfish bits are just enough to keep one going until dinnertime. A fun stop.

Fans of rhums will love this place. The menu list of the rhums is long and should meet all your desiderata. I have not tried the cocktails thus cannot say about. I suggest to try the small test made by 4 shots of different types so that you may find new taste. Beware of the rhum arrange with pepper, too... More

Stepping into the Rhumerie you are welcomed by the Manager with a smile and are instantly transported to the sunny Caribean. Cocktails are exotic, non-alcoholic juices delicious and the Accras de Morue and Boudins taste great (remember we are in Paris so less spicy). Decor is simple and as long as you sit facing the bar rather than looking out... More

It's a caribean corner in Saint Germain. We launched very well and at affordable prices: a grilled fish, a big salads, two desserts and 1/2 liter of white wine: € .48. If there are groups of old Parisians, the fun is guaranteed.

We stopped instinctively at this restaurant while walking around the Saint Germain area in Paris and were delighted by the food as well as the ambience of the place. Highly recommended!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
