When I discovered Les Pipos hidden in the Latin Quarters, I could not believe such a traditionally cool wine bar existed. Owned by a local family, Their wine is well chosen and their menu is announced on a chalkboard outside. Their steaks frites bear no...More

This place was always busy when we wandered past so on our last night we popped in for a drink. We were lucky to find a table near the bar and have a good bottle of wine. Great atmosphere in an authentic zinc bar. Would...More

Had a great experience at les pipos. Waiters were nice, food was good value for money, traditional French. The whole place is very cosy, would definitely come back.

This place is really good but based on the reviews we expected more. We had soup, pate, duck and risotto. Duck was dry in places and risotto lacked flavour a bit. Happy with the meal but it’s not the best we’ve had. The staff is...More

I happened upon Les Pipos one evening. It has a rustic charm and unlike some of the restaurants in the neighbourhood it stays open most of the day and serves food before 7pm. The staff are very casual and friendly. Judging by the enthusiastic greetings...More

This was a random find while we were strolling around the Quartier Latin. Stopped for a late afternoon glass of wine, which became three. The wine was delicious and very well priced for its quality. Feeling peckish we tried one of their planches, consisting of...More

We had a lovely meal here on our first night in Paris which was both reasonably priced and tasty. We were able to sit outdoors in the humid weather so the opportunity for people watching added to the meal. Both of us were impressed with...More

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During

Hi! Perhaps Les Pipos is not the right place for you as they do have a bathroom but it is upstairs and the stairway is very narrow with narrow steps and winds around.... Food is great so if you can manage without a bathroom... More

Les Pipos is a journey back to real Parisian bistro culture. With a clientele composed of regulars, tourists, students from the Sorbonne and administrative workers from the French ministries across the street, there is always a convivial environment and interesting conversations going on at all times of the day. You can have a traditional french meal inspired from Auvergene, Normandy and the South of France at any time until 11pm on weekdays and 11h30pm on weekends. Les Pipos has a diverse and particular wine list for all tastes. We work with wine producers who are invested in exposing the simplicity and exquisite nature of french wines, many of which are organic (no sulfur). The owner prides himself in serving fresh produce, so makes all his purchases in Rungis (the largest fresh produce market near Paris) and has nothing delivered. All cuts of meat, fish and vegetables are hand-picked by the owner himself. There is live music every Friday and Saturday. It is best to reserve on the weekends to guarantee a table. Payments can be made by cash or credit cards (visa, mastercard, debit) but we do not accept American Express however.
