TOP, our tour guide recommended this authentic place and we found exactly what we were looking for, a very traditional and an authentic restaurant with great home made food at a good price and with a very friendly staff
Staying just around the corner, we were drawn in by the liveliness of Les Pipos. And we were after some traditional bistro fare. We started with a carafe of Bourgueil and ordered bone marrow (fantastic!) and gazpacho (tasty & fresh), followed by the pork cheek...on mashed potato and risotto of the day (champignons). All the meals were excellent and perfect portion size. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We took our time over a second carafe of wine and enjoyed the cosy, convivial atmosphere. We highly recommend this spot if you’re after a great meal in a friendly little place. We’re likely to be back before we finish our holiday!More
Good option if seeking for decent food at a reasonable price! Next to a very good party area, I would recommend to have some drinks in the bar in front after dinner.
Risotto and the hamburgers were superb.
Good restaurant at the top of the hill. We started across the street for a drink then moved over here for dinner. The menu looked tasty and there was seating inside and out. We chose outside on the sidewalk. I had the chicken and mashed...potatoes with gazpacho to start. Very good. House red wine was also delightful. Husband had sausage and gherkin for starter and then a steak...maybe not cooked enough for his preference. We were never rushed and when we left it was packed full of diners and people waiting.More
When we (me and my wife) we travel, always we have with us Lonely Planet !!
This guide for once more showing us a good place to go .Classic French Bistrot with no luxury but with good quality in all ways!
We had the greatest kir...we ever had, maybe the creme de cassis (burgundy )for sure the wine (must be chablis),one very nice with oaky flavor chardy from Loire(!!!) and then one typical Bordeaux style (4,5 euro) .Sorry but i don't remember labels it was an exhausted afternoon.
Our dishes was for me Tomato Gazpacho (Excellent) and Frois Pullet a la Piemontese with mayo textures (Very good choice for a hot day!)
My wife had only main and that was a burger (she order it w.w.done and came medium at least but this is ok here)with french frites and blue cheese good enough and tastefull she told me.
The most important think when we all go out is the whole atmosphere !
Here is the waiter(sorry my friend i didn't remember your name)very friendly french spoken with no attitude and friendly a lot!!No worries he speaks also english .
Go there guys is highly recommended from me.More
Hi! Perhaps Les Pipos is not the right place for you as they do have a bathroom but it is upstairs and the stairway is very narrow with narrow steps and winds around.... Food is great so if you can manage without a bathroom... More
Hi! Perhaps Les Pipos is not the right place for you as they do have a bathroom but it is upstairs and the stairway is very narrow with narrow steps and winds around.... Food is great so if you can manage without a bathroom break you could always sit outside or in the bar area.... Good luck!
