The place you want to avoid at all cost. Service is rude and really incompetent. At 8 € for a glass of poor lager draft beer is overpriced. The caesar salad was 15€ and the worst salad i've ever eaten. Don't go there!

So three years after my first review, I now bring 5 or 6 people a week here from the startup ecosystem for coffee meetings. Sometimes a mixed experience depending on the server but generally positive overall. Several times the bill was under the 15€ limit for credit cards and the server would suggest to charge 15€ and give us the... More

Staying in the next to door Hotel de la Republique, my wife and I dropped in here on our first night, being too tired to walk far after a long journey. The restaurant has a smart side and a more relaxed side (outside) with gas burners to keep you warm. The service is friendly and the food good - we... More

Strolling down the Republique square, you can find this bar/restaurant offering an internal and external (protected from the harsh cold weather) ambiance. A low yellow lightning, leather sofas and on the outside vintage wooden chair arrangement makes you travel back un time to a 30's Parisian cafe. The background music has tints of jazz but house music overruns the melody... More

Stopped in for a late lunch. Service was OK as was the food. Large menu. Great for people watching. Good location near Place de la République so there is always a lot going on.

Had a business lunch here, but with the street noise and restaurant noise, it wasn't an easy place to conduct business. It seemed to be a happening social scene in the evening but not the type of cafe to chat in.

This was our first stop in Paris after arriving at our hotel after a couple hour train ride. It was a good place to sit (with a large cold beer) and observe the active street life that was passing by. It's not fine dining, but it's not trying to be. The staff were great with the kids and the stopped... More

This place has the rudest waitstaff I have ever encountered. From wrong orders to awful manners, this café is to be avoided at all costs. I am a local and have never been treated so poorly, as was my date. Why risk a bad day in paris when your time is limited with the risk of bad service (as there... More

Visited at 19.00 and there were plenty of tables, although it got busier while we were there. We were served pretty quickly and I had the Pachy club sandwich, which czme with side salad and fries. Portion size was good, and fries were really hot. My wife had the Dumbo salad (prawn, salmon and avacado), which tasted nice but the... More

Had a really nice fish and chips with a great bottle of wine here for a very reasonable price. Great place to watch people - staff are nice and you never feel rushed at all
