The owner is a very sweet lady with passion you can taste. This seems like a small locals place. The food is amazing. I will return every trip. The escargot was perfect!!!!

Tucked away on a small street less than a block from Notre Dame, this is a cozy and friendly bistro offering classic French fare at a reasonable price (three-course dinner for two including drinks for 84 Euro). I had the Terrine de Foie Gras and the beef fillet (pictured; it was a delicious as it looks) while my wife had... More

Fun, quaint and quality latte's and wine/cheese sampler plate. We stopped by after walking to Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower which were closed due to the attacks on Paris.

Came here for my Mum's 60th and had a great meal. Everyone was happy. My king prawn risotto had to be one of the tastiest things I've had so far this year. Highly recommended. Prices are extremely reasonable for a restaurant minutes from Notre Dam - €29 for 3 courses at the time of my visit.

Good location. Went with two women and everyone said their meal was good. Nice choice of either dessert or appetizer with the entree. Food not quite as good as last time but will go back again.

We went there after reading the recommendation on trip advisor. From outside the place doesn't look promising. However, once we were sited, we got the filling that we are in the proper place. The menu is in French and English. it is an updated menu and not the one on the restaurant web page. The waiter assisted us with the... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
