While searching for a place to eat, we landed at Le Lac de L'ouest. The food was nice and the menus are affordable, which include dessert. The restaurant adapted my dishes (because I am vegetarian) with no extra fees. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the plateware, the food portions will be enough to have you satiated. Friendly staff... More

Great Chinese food. Specials were advertised on placards outdoors. Only complaint was when we sat down we were given regular menus and had to ask for a special menu. Other than that, food was delicious.

Whilst wandering around Paris looking for an eaterie, we came across Lac De L'Ouest where despite the high temperature, there was the owner dressed for winter in a sweater and scarf, touting for business from the pavement. The main attraction was the price of 19 euros for a full 4 course meal from a set menu with a choice of... More

Although the food was spicy and we had to wait in line for a dozen minutes, the food was simply amazing. It was warm, spicy and delicious. My favorite restaurant.

We were walking through the quartier latin and looking for some oriental food and decided to try the lac de l'ouest. On the good side of the dining experience was the food. We had: - cold spring rolls Vietnamese style and warm spring rolls Vietnamese style with shrimp. Both tasted well. Nothing to complain about. - pho: a large portion... More

After eating rich Parisian food for a couple of days, we started to crave Chinese, so we were happy to eat lunch. The food is decent and reasonably priced and the menu is very large, so I'm sure most people could find something to eat here.

My wife, 17 year old daughter and I visited Paris this summer in July. My wife and I had been there before, but it was my daughter's first time. We had eaten at a variety of restaurants, cafe's and brasseries, and after a few nights we were looking for something different. By sheer good fortune, we were wandering around the... More

After over indulging in French food and wine, I started craving for greasy Chinese food. Chinese restaurants or restaurants that offer Chinese food are hard to come by in Paris. This place is located in the lively neighborhood of Latin Quartier. We came here at around 11:30 pm and they close at midnight. We were their last customers and the... More

An extensive menu, not overy priced for Paris, fast service and good tasting Asian cusine - not overly spiced and no added MSG. A really good find in this restaurant district. Happy to recommend.

We visited this little restaurant after wandering round unsure what to eat. My husband is vegetarian so we always need to make sure we can cater to his needs. We were a little unsure when ordering what he would actually get but it turned out to be an excellent meal. We had vegetable spring rolls and egg foo yung to... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
