What a find! After pelting it down with rain we dived into this delightful little cafe and was blown away by the quality of the food and quaintness of this great little eatery. Finished off our Paris holiday perfectly! P.s try the chocolate fondant with caramel on top it was incredible. Don't care about prices when you eat like this.... More

The place is so lovely, cosy, nostalgic and authentic! It is just what you want to see in Paris but you're never sure where to find. Good food and friendly yet efficient service. You just want to try everything and take everything home : the chocolates (not the supermarket brand of course, including some very interesting flavours like lavender, dulce... More

Sure the place is lovely but what about the prices!? I bought a few things to go, almost enough for one person, 1 spoon of tatziki for 3,9€, 2 cheese and spinach balls for 6€ etc I'm not against spoiling myself with good stuff but the ratio quantity/quality/price is way too over evaluated. Too bad!

This is a lovely-looking little deli with a great atmosphere. The food was ok but quite pricey. What's truly excellent is the desserts, they were soooo good. However, the problem was the service. First, the staff seemed inconvenienced by us being there. Also, for every order we wanted to make we had to go around the corner to where the... More

After visiting the area of Montmartre we started our walk back to the centre of Paris and came upon this delightful gem. Eight of us, feeling very hungry, entered. What we found was truly charming. A treasure trove of gourmet delights. We sat at four small bistro tables and took up most of the available space. I ordered the "Mer"... More

Walking back from Montmartre and 5 minutes from our hotel (Hotel Palm Opera), we peaked into the beautiful window of this "store". The interior is a joy and a real treasure trove of gourmet foods and treats including all you could want for a picnic or a special afternoon tea (gourmet teas and sets of china to purchase). We chose"... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
