Second time I've been here in three years and the second time was better than the first. I had the lamb mechuis (not sure on spelling!), which looked lovely on another table and the waiter pointed it out on the menu. It was lovely too! Others with me had the chicken brochette and chicken tagine. Both were lovely too. We... More

Great couscous, without any doubt one of the best in Paris. However, service was slow and we had to ask several times for the bill. Price are quite high for the quantity we got, guess we paid for the location.

Just went there with my wife. We were going back to the places we loved on our honeymoon four years ago. What a let down food decayed and the service was simply rude. Not a place to go!

I love Moroccan food, and am a bit of a foodie. Neither side was really very satisfied. Pros -- service was excellent and atmosphere welcoming. Drawbacks - food was just mediocre. The duck in the tajine was chewy and rather flavourless. Couscous, while containing the ingredients that would seem to make it burst with flavour, had a dishwater-ish taste. The... More

Couscous Royale was delicious. We were directed to a table for 4 by one waiter, we were then asked to move by the maitre'd even though we had our entrée and wine and water and had begun the initial tray of hors d'oeuvres. This was because we were at a table for 6 and we were three. that was unusual... More

Chez bebert has been one of my favorite CousCous restaurant for over 30 years. This place never disappoints even if sometimes the waiting can be tedious without a reservation. But you will book table anyhow and make sure you're on time as they operate a first come first served among bookings. If you never had couscous before, this is a... More

Been coming here for a good Cous Cous for longer than I care to say and it never disappoints me. It can get busy in the evening and the queue out the door is crazy. Prices are not cheap but sensible and yes they don't let you share which is not traditional at all and just a rip off and... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
