This was a terrible experience from the moment we walked through the door. The welcome was unfriendly to say the least - we have even booked. You know its bad when you sit down and wonder whether you should leave before you even order. We didnt, but should have. The food had no taste whatsoever and the overall experience actually... More

We went at la Gazelle following positive reviews read on tripadvisor but we were very disappointed! The restaurant is located in a charming area, the setting seems a bit old, a refresh would'nt hurt... + some candles and stuff to make it smell better... So the staff was very lovely and all, but the food was not great at all.... More

Went to this busy looking Moroccan eatery a year ago and it was fine, nothing amazing but good enough in an area lacking really great North African restaurants but sadly for the young couple I recommended it to yesterday that was not their experience, they felt a distinct chill coming from the lady in charge on entering but thought ok... I was expecting a better experience from that dinner on business with a colleague. Ambiance was rather quiet and not too noisy. Quality of food was good but the service was so long and rather 'cold' that the entire experience was disappointing.

Liked the look of this Moroccan restaurant as we walked past. Checked it out onTrip Advisor and went for supper. Lovely warm place and delicious food ..soft and flavourful couscous in vast quantities, tajine and merguez. Bistilla ..pigeon pie - as a shared starter one of the very best I've tasted. And family who own and run the place are... More

The interior makes you feel like you'be just traveled to Morocco but the Kofta was rather average and pretty expensive at that.

After experiencing Padron, the tapas restaurant in Budapest, I decided to launch a systematic study to explore whether advertised authenticity has any value for the actual customer, or is it a simple trick to win more visitors and more money... or is it a declaration of the type… like “Prelude and Fugue” or “East Coast Rap”, in another dimension of... Try the 'house special' lamb tagine as you ask the staff to put on some Majda Roumi on the tape deck. Unbeatable.

Wonderful Moroccan restaurant located in Montmartre, Paris. Ate there three times during our month in Paris. Excellent tangine, couscous and pastilla dishes. Family operation. Faisel is the son who waits tables and speaks excellent English. He gave us great recommendations from the menu and was very attentive. The décor is quite beautiful. Reasonable prices. Very friendly place. Know some complained... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
