A small hidden treasure of french cuisine in the 14th arrondissement . One of the best dinners in Paris with traditional cuisine and atmosphere ( you enjoy a real " culture populaire autochtones " feeling ). The cooking is excellent ( like mama's ), including...casserole dishes ( i.e. lapin a la moutarde ) , service simple and friendly , original decoration of an old pop restaurant with red carreaux table covers .Dessert descent , 2-3 varieties of daily tartes or cheese with good wine. Prices, very reasonable . As we say in Greece , they look at your face , not in your pocket ! You may be questioned " why and how is hidden from the tourists" ? 1st surprise: They don't have reservation by internet , only by telephone . 2nd surprise: They do not accept all the credit cards .Cash is preferable . It is almost always full by locals .This is not a surprise .More

Our VRBO location recommended this amazing restaurant near our place in the 14th arr (which is a great location in the city btw). It is a very small, very local restaurant. We arrived on a Thursday night to a short wait and had an amazing...meal. Very small, traditional menu and the suggestions from the server were spot on. Moderatly priced from a Paris perspective and one of the best meals of our recent European trip. After a long day on Saturday we decided to go back but were told they were initially told they were sold out for the night. The owner/manager must have seen our forelorn looks and caught us before leaving, told us to wait 10 minutes and found us a table. What great service!More

As I was not up to a rich meal, I had two vegetarian starters. My husband that the beef casserole Provençal. I would have loved to ask for the recipe. Dessert was fresh fruit salad for me and rum baba for monsieur. A whimsical little...place with eclectic decorMore

Eating like a local in any city, let alone Paris, is difficult to impossible. This is the exception - feel like a local, with total bistro/ brasserie food and wine. Terrific service. Deconstructed rum baba - desert with a bottle of rum was huge fun.

Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, and staying just round the corner, I thought I couldn't miss the opportunity to come here. It didn't disappoint, from the help yourself prob of pate, to the cheese selection (via rabbit in mustard sauce) the food was excellent...and service impeccable. Am only here for the weekend, but will be back again before I leave for home!More

Found reviews on Trip Advisor and I can conform that this was a wonderful choice to dine at in Montparnasse. Menu had a wide selection of brasserie food at very reasonable prices. Food quality and service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to...escape the tourist dominated dining scene.More

We had a great night here. The setting is lovely, the staff welcoming and above all the food was excellent. Probably the best steak I have ever had! If you're looking for an authentic and relaxed French brasserie experience, do pay them a visit!

We visited Le Petit Baigneur on a quiet night following New Year and lived the ambience, decor and food. The lapin mortared / rabbit with mustard was superb and the escargot delicious. My husband loved his steak tartare. Service got very slow when we finished...our meals and were readying to leave. Just a small thing on an otherwise lovely night. Would definitely return.More
