I had marvelous crepes here few days ago. The place is extremely basic and simple, very unformal, bare bricks by the walls, old used tiles on the floor but... you can't really afford to miss this place if you want to eat mind blowing crepes! This place is not really for turists, you find local people here and this is... More

I thought this was the best crepe that I had in Paris. The dough was really good. I had a mushroom and cheese crepe which was full of fresh mushrooms. I will go out of my way to come back here next time I'm in Paris.

Thanks to the positive reviews and the position closer to my hostel I came here, the staff was nice, the crepes with chestnut creme was really good. My vote is due to the bretone gallette, that was almost carbonized, and also the sausage inside was overcooked...

If you're in the mood for crepes you should have a try on this lovely place. As the name states this is a crepes place, and the people in there knows the deal. Maybe the crepes don't look like a Monet picture but they are damn tasty. Probably some of the best I had. Also they have some nice and... More

OPENS 7:30pm. NO CARD PAYMENTS. I visited this restaurant on Tuesday, and I must say, I was not disappointed. As other reviews have mentioned, the service was great - staff were friendly and welcoming. The crepes don't look like much, but they are delicious, and cooked to order in an open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. The Grand... More

Simple fare done exceptionally well. The gallettes are fantastic - as are the crepes. One of the better meals I've had in Paris - and located in a very interesting area to explore.

The Butte-aux-Cailles in the 13th e is an interesting area to explore as many of the small houses and shops are reminiscent of Alsace. We sought out this creperie as it had been recommended and was worth the visit. While very small, I believe it only seats about 20 and tables are almost touching, it really does present an interesting,... More

Excellent creperie located on one of the DK recommended walks. Sampled the (1) smoked salmon, (2) potato and cheese and (3) orange chocolate filling with Grand Marnier crepes, accompanied by very good and inexpensive white wine. Definitely would go again.

We spotted this place while exploring the Butte aux Cailles neighborhood and decided to try it for dessert. It's tiny and has only a few tables, and in fact we were asked to wait outside for our crepes instead of milling around inside. No problem! You can go for chocolate filling, or the marmalade or plain powdered sugar, but I... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
