Near Les Halles and across from Nôtre-Dame, this bistro offers the best preparation of classic dishes such as Rognons à la moutarde (veal kidneys in mustard sauce), boudin blanc, etc. A great spot for lunch or dinner.

You will find the staples of French bistrot cuisine, very well located in the center of the city between Les Halles and the river Seine. I had the "rognons" (kidneys) after an original starter carpaccio style. Excellent desserts. And a small terrace on the pavement. Worth the price.

Nice little place, but the food wasn't good enough relative to other spots. Service was excellent. My main problem was that both of our mains (pan "roasted" pork rib (pork chop) and ravioli) were served within 2 minutes of being ordered! Clearly these were just warm ups. It detracted both from the flavor and the experience. Also, the pork was... More

My family and I chanced upon this restaurant as we did not know where to eat being the first time in Paris. We were enchanted by the good service and food! it taste very local, and sincere, unlike the other french food we had eaten elsewhere. It also have a very homely feeling. Its filled with locals, and yes its... More

Nice staff and an outside cafe area. Decent desert - but the mains and the wine are seriously not what a local would accept. This bistrot like many in this area is just another place aimed at tourists who dont know better.

This "quality" can only be for tourists who don't know any better and yes, it's probably better than McDonalds but the tartare was full of mayonese and had bad texture, the chicken was cold and the wine was sour. Was also very expensive. Never go here again!

This restaurant quickly became our favourite place to have our evening meal. Wonderful service with a blend of quiet efficiency, charm and good sense of humour. Loved the place, the people, the amazing food and the service. When we were there, the opening time for dinner was 7pm. Your meal will begin with a complementary appetiser which is just a... More

We went there last weekend for the first time and immediately felt in love with the place - young and friendly service staff, traditional French cuisine with a nice touch and excellent selection of French wines. We did not like the wine we choose and they changed it for another bottle without any problem - what an outstanding customer service!!!... More

Great atmosphere, food and service! A small, cosy place with a touch of rustic feel to it and a great wine meny! I believe us to be the only tourists there. Try the burger or the entrecôte👌

I had bliny's and smoked trout for the main course and both were excellent! Beuf Bourgenion was also a magnificent choice!

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
