My wife and I accidentally stumbled into this place and absolutely loved it. We liked it so much in fact that we ended up eating here 3 more times during our stay at a nearby hotel. The food was always delicious, and the service was...excellent as well. The place is very clean and classy inside. You can seat at the bar or at one of their tables. They have a nice "formula" for lunch of only 25E for appetizer + main course or main course + desert. If you want, you can get appetizer + main course + desert for only 30E, but only Mon-Fri for lunch. Otherwise you can get full "menu" - appetizer, main course, cheese course + desert for 38E. I tried their formula and menu several times, and it never disappointed. The food is nicely presented and tasted great. I tried fish, duck, even pigeon. Never thought I'd try a pigeon, but it was delicious. My wife wasn't crazy about a couple of desert options, but I liked them all. They will serve you tap water if you ask, and always lots of lots of fresh delicious bread. The service is very friendly and attentive. Overall this is my favorite restaurant in Paris. I'm very glad we got to experience it before they decided to shut down all restaurants in Paris because of COVID-19. Our visit wouldn't have been the same without this wonderful place.More

We returned to Paris with one restaurant on our mind - a return visit to Les Cocottes. That is how good this restaurant was 4-5 years ago when we could not forget the memorable food. What a complete disappointment in 2020! The famous squid risotto...was NOTHING like it used to be ... the risotto tasted like store-bought rice, and the squid were bland tiny narrow strips of white leathery rubber laid on top. That was what was served in a small bowl for nearly 30 euros. It was so awful I had to return mine. And the lobster bisque was also a fraction of the delicacy it used to be here. The service sitting at the bar, despite 5 men milling about & whispering & smirking with each other the whole time, was cold & impersonal. I went to this place with a work colleague. We had a reservation but were placed on a small table closed to the bar, so not much privacy but this is Paris! The meals were quite tasty and original. However, quantity was limited (this is...the trend for such restaurants but still!). It sounds there was a 3 courses menu but it was not proposed to us. It was limited to lunch or, for dinner, only to one choice per course. So the bill was hefty and I had the feeling this place was overpriced.More

The food and wine were very good and to be fair the place was packed out with a queue to get in. BUT. It is a long narrow room which widens slightly at the inner end. The main part has a small waiting area, then...tables for two back to back along the left-hand wall, a narrow gap for guests’ access then stools at a bar with a space for staff behind used for service and staff movement. I’d reserved a table but we were sat at the bar and told it was a ‘concept’. If so it wasn’t a concept that had made it onto the website but the purpose was clear to pack guests in. Gusts and staff were constantly passing by. There were too few waiters so we sat for some time without a menu until I asked a waiter who walked past us to place some menus in a pile opposite us. It turned he was serving a different area so, without a word, he picked up the menus, walked past us again and gave the menus to the waiter whose ‘area’ we were in who had to walk back to give us the menus. The behaviour of the first was neither professional nor acceptable. ‘Our’ waiter, to be fair again, was very pleasant and hardworking. Indeed the waiters were all busy but there were too few. It seemed the maitre d’ was not prepared to help with the service when he had a moment to do so. Poor team work.More

Wonderful service, and the place appears as fine dining. But the food was quite ordinary, and the furniture is terrible - high chairs, inflexible. Avoid if you’re small or middle aged.

This is a small restaurant (by US standards) with good service and food. They have a decent selection of entrees and drinks and have a nice ambience despite the small size.

Had such a nice experience at this restaurant, it was my partners and I's anniversary and were very impressed with the food, drinks and service here. I had the langoustine ravioli which was amazing! highly recommend. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Rum Baba dessert which...definitly was not lacking in Rum! So glad we found this place and would love to go back!More
