This is the type of place I would become a regular at if I lived in Paris. Sure, its cool that Johnny Depp has been known to hang out here but there is more to it. Its tucked away on a side street but easy to find. This place has an interesting vibe and 70's/ 80's rock ambience that you'll... More

This has to be my favourite bar in Paris. Absolutely loved the jazz music on Monday. Really cozy place with a great ambience. Drinks during the happy hours are cheap, and are absolutely worth the money post happy hours due to the beautiful music.

Outside the busy and touristic area of Mouffetard, this bar has great music, service and atmosphere!

I have been going there for years, it is always a reliable choice to take friends and dates for the first time, drinks are cheap and the music is great. Just beware the live music is only on mondays.

Definitely one of my favorite bars for live music on mondays! It has a typical Parisian retro atmosfere, with warm soft lighting, packed with locals and foreigners alike. It boasts an amazing professional gypsy jazz trio on mondays. The entrance is free but the drinks are a bit pricey and It's also very packed, so don't expect to be seated... More

Great, busy, funky, chilled bar .. Relaxed atmosphere, no dressing to impress here !! Cheap prices, like 10€ for a pint and a wine! Good music , live music some nights. Loved it

If you go on a Monday Night you can be entertained by a wonderful jazz trio! if you are going for the music you want to get there before 9 PM otherwise you will left standing or be stuck at the front bar area.

Don't you just love a place that hangs on to its teen-rebel soul and rock attitude? Friends alerted us to appreciate its subdued lighting and shabby decor, old bricks covered in graffiti with cult film and underground concert posters.... we are transported straight back to an 'old school' atmosphere. We came with mates to knock back a pint or two... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
