Perfect winter warming restaurant. A very French menu a step away from the usual brasserie fare. We tried 3 different terrines and the œuf cocotte (all were excellent). For mains we had the biche casserole and the coq au vin. So rich and full of flavour. We couldn't fault them. Then a huge cheese board is presented and you can... More

This is exactly what it says on the tin. Classic French bistro food (typically South West French menu) in a location that could have come out of a movie set. Plenty of travellers (it is very close to the Gare du Lyon) but also plenty of locals. And the food was excellent, amongst the best of its class that I... More

If you're looking for a real 4 course French experience, this is it. It is far from what could be considered a tourist trap, and for around 30 euros for the menu you certainly get what you pay for. I actually used to live in the area from 2008-2014, and my husband and I would go here to celebrate events... More

This meal was very much appreciated by two adults and teen boys too! We enjoyed sharing the escargot and cheese plate, the coq au vin was fabulous. The waiter was quite funny in encouraging the boys to use french then answering in English to show he understood what was being attempted (mangled) in french. We went back a few weeks... More

Visited this restaurant after the great reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. We chose the fixed menu for 32 euros and had the Coq au vin. The servings were extremely generous for a fine dining establishment and the service next to none! An amazing experience savouring authentic French cuisine. We arrived just at 7 pm as they... More

We were recommended this restaurant and then the people next to us raved about how good their food was, and we weren't disappointed. We did the fixed menu for EUR33 or so for starter, main, cheese, and dessert. We all enjoyed our food and were so full by the end! It's a bit out of the way but we enjoyed... More

We visited Paris in August, and most of the restaurants we'd targeted from Trip Advisor were closed, without notifications on their websites or otherwise. We worked our way down the list, and this restaurant was open, so we went. It's not in a particularly convenient location and involved some walking from the Metro. It's an old school bistro with dishes... More

Had a huge Coq Au Vin craving & all reviews/blogs pointed our stomachs here. I had the 3 course set (31.50 euros with starter/main/cheese & dessert) while the fiancé had her own Coq Au Vin. The egg mayo was really delicious for starters, wiped it out very quickly. Next up was the heavenly pot of Coq Au Vin, generous serving... More

This time in Paris was an overnight stop, (Thursday 31st) travelling from London to the South of France. With an early morning train from the nearby Gare du Lyon we stayed at the IBIS and this little restaurant is just adjacent to the hotel. We could have been luckier. The waitress told us about the daily specials for Euro32.So we... More

The good: wine prices. The bad: Monday night cooking. Perhaps the regular kitchen staffers were elsewhere, but what came out of the Monday night kitchen was dreadful. Maybe Parisian regulars understand this, for they were absent in droves. All present (there weren't that many) were English-speakers. It was our enjoyable visit a few years ago that brought us back; wish... More
