I had not dined at Chai 33 in years. Being back in Paris meant I could finally get to enjoy an nice meal in this (previously) great place. But, how disappointing it was. On arrival, it appeared that the place had gone from previously smart to now being just another tourist shack. Quite crowded with all sorts of people not... More

We were a group of 4. Fancy crowded place where you see at once people come to socialize and don't care about eating. Waited 55 min. for our orders, after having rejected 3-4 times dishes destined to other tables! I wonder how is this place is organized : empty-handed waiters are running all the place around acting busy... They also... More

Unique place to have nice dinner. Good and inexpensive wine selection. Decent fusion food with a bit of Thai and Japanese influence. I have to admit that the ambience was the highlight, more than the food. Nearby restaurants were also packed when we were there. It was clearly a hangout place for locals.

An excellent restaurant in Paris. This area used to be the place wine was brought in Paris from all the wine producers in France. The last alley that survived this area is "cour Saint Emilion." All the restaurants and stores are built in the old caves that used to keep this wine. Chai33 is an excellent restaurant, where you can... More

Four of us . half an hour to get water and order. Food then arrived rather quickly. Sausage was barely warm. Salads looked OK. Forgot to bring coffee which was included. Overpriced, understaffed.

As most places at Bercy Village, this restuarant is a kind of tourist trap. Huge, average or zven poor quaility food. At Chai 33 the service is poor. I waited one hour for a very simple starter. Prices are also French. No good quality for the price you pay, but also not much of an alternative at Paris Bercy Village.... More

On the plus side: they found us a table on a Friday evening at peak hour. Then, everything went wrong. The waiter took our drinks order after 10 minutes. Two drinks ordered, one made its way to the table, part of it was directly spilt on the table. The second one completely failed to appear. We waited 25 minutes, the... More

I have been several times to this restaurant, usually mid-week so maybe not as busy, so service was good. The menu has a good selection, but what they really want you to do is buy some expensive wine from the vast cellar. They don't push you but they will match a good wine to what you are eating at various... More

Despite a very difficult bookings process ( 19 people fixed menu, no flexibility, 50% payment in advance to be able to book) we arrived and had all the makings of a great evening. The environment and the atmosphere was good and the spirits were high! This was soon dampened when we waited 15 minutes for the preordered wine to come... More
