I was next door at their sister restaurant called Le Dauphin that serves tapas. The friendly bartender went to get the reservation iPad at Le Chateaubriand and made me a reservation for dinner a few days later. I had a comfortable seat at the bar (bar stools have a back) and the windows were open so nice fresh air at... More

On first sight, just looking like an other bistro. The spontaneity and a healthy dose of humor, definitely made us feel very welcome. Upon a short intro to the notion that there is only one menu and that it (theoretically) differs each day we were sensimed to be surprised. And a culinary surprise it was all the way from appetisers... More

Bravura cooking in an informal and relaxed bistro setting. We simply couldn't fault Chateaubriand. They did everything extremely well. Service was relaxed and friendly, the food was terrific and the wine selection was superb. Very reasonably priced too, given the quality. Dinner came in at around 120 euros for two for multiple courses and wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner... More

10 course meal was the only choice. All courses were a surprise. They asked us what we prefer or allergies which was nice. The service was very friendly. Dessert of raw caramelized egg on almond powder was terrific! One of best desserts ever! Eat it in one bite though as its messy! I found 3 of the 10 courses a... More

It is easy to see why this unassuming, yet hidden jewel in Paris is one of the 50 best restaurants in the world. The décor, peppered with the hustle-and-bustle of travellers abroad mixed with the local Parisians, provides for an admirable setting; a simple, modest Bistro style restaurant. Both my Partner and I devoured (as opposed to simply “ate) the... More

I've eaten here twice. Both times were superlative. The chef is an absolute gem. The staff are fantastic. They will give you a choice of being spoken to in English or French, to be surprised as each dish arrives or to see the menu beforehand, and to have wine pairings or not. *Get the wine pairings.* They're more than just... Me and my girlfriend decided to try out one of the many michelin restaurants in paris. Found this one on a site with the top50 restaurants in the world (Le Chateaubriand was placed around 70th place). I find it very very weird how long the rankings on tripadvisor is, but the food was really good. 9 courses i think, with... More

Loved this restaurant. We had a 10 course meal and every course was just getting better and better. We had a wonderful time at this place. You need reservations. Wine options are great too.

We were very excited to try out this restaurant after watching Anthony Bourdain's Paris lay over episode. Their set dinner menu changes everyday, so you won't know what you'll eat there until you get there. It was a good value 6 course meal with fresh seasonal ingredients. Our favorite dish was the lamb sweetbread and the final surprise dessert. And... More

Snobbish staff, barely capable of explaining what's in your plate. Constantly roaming around you until you finish your dish. The mise en bouche as well as the main dishes where bland, surely not creative for a place that pretends being avant-garde and experimental, what a joke. It is outrageous to pay 70 euros, wine not included, for such a ridiculously... More
