After a week of french fine dining, we needed to switch it up and we wanted to taste some of the local thai food. A few searches for best thai in paris all brought back Bien Bien so we made a reservation online and Henri replied back with a personal email letting me know we were confirmed and wishing me well on a beautiful Paris day. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday and Henri and his staff made a conscientious effort to make it special for us. The food was delicious and while you probably can't go wrong, we had a fantastically fresh mango salad, slow cooked duck in a red curry and the marinated beef specialty. It was all we were hoping for and more. They even included a complementary birthday dessert, complete with candle. I am so glad we chose Bien Bien and would suggest it to anyone looking for a great night out. Thanks again Henri!

I love Thai food and so was happy to have dinner one night during my 3 nights in Paris. Bien Bien is a well established and respected Thai Restaurant and so I booked a table from the UK ahead of my trip. I spoke to Stephan who was super friendly and was a great host. English menu is via a QR Code. I had the Chicken Satay and Crispy Spring Rolls to start and both were really good. The Pork Noodles I had were good but I have had better in other Thai establishments on my global travels. Sticky Mango Rice was again good but the rice was a little hard in the centre, due I think to over-cooking. Prices were reasonable with my 2 starters, a main and a Singha Beer coming to €48.50 All in all I would recommend Bien-Bien if you want good Thai food in Paris.

Delicious real Thai dishes in friendly setting. Very welcoming staff, great gin tonics with Thai twist and food tastes like in Thailand. Deserts are tasty as well 😋

I booked this restaurant on account of the high rating it received on trip advisor. This is one time when the restaurant didn't live up to expectations. I ordered a vegetable green curry which I have eaten many times in various restaurants in the UK and this was hands down the worst one yet. It was also served in a chipped bowl which made me doubt the standard if the restaurant! On the plus side the pork spring rolls were gluten free and very tasty!

This place is a gem! I was staying down the street and it was super easy to order online for pickup. It was so good I went twice during my 1 week stay! They were able to accommodate my food allergies (without complaining) and every time I went in there the place was packed. The food is authentic and delicious. Would highly recommend.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants we've ever eaten at. The food was so delicious and more unique than what we've had in the past. The server was friendly and helpful. We visited on a cold and rainy day in Paris and felt so welcomed and warm inside.

Lovely food and good service. We had a starter to share, two mains, dessert to share, plus drinks (2 beers, 1 gin, 1 cocktail) and came to £60. So good value for money. Food was freshly cooked and had excellent taste. Staff could speak English and was happy to explain the dishes.

We ate here last Saturday night before the Ireland game . From start to finish it was excellent. My son said his Phad Thai was the best he ever had. The green curry was cooked and seasoned so perfectly. Every ingredient so fresh. Our one mistake was not having starters . Highly recommend Bien Bien . May be back in 2 weeks if Ireland make the final . Thank you again for wonderful service and food.

Can’t fault the flavour of the food but it was not the best dining experience.
Food cannot have been freshly cooked as was served so fast after order.
The food was also like warm.
We were probably in and out within 45 minutes.
The food with chilli symbol was not hot.

Hello Matty thank you first for taking the time to write us these words.
I wanted to reply this early morning when i got the notification but it wouldnt have been a smart response from us, it also would not have gave a good look of our family restaurant. Now i can and i just want to respectfully educate you sir about how it works in the kitchen and in service.
If the guest come in for lunch or diner, and they dont order any drink as an opening, or any starter, we do fire the order right away. If the timing is good and we dont have any other order on spot or take away, we directly start cooking. Like in french cuisine, if you order Egg mayonnaise or foie gras, we just have to slice and plate and that is it. Does it mean it s not fresh ? I dont think so. Also in eastern Asian cuisine, we use dragon fire gaz to maximum heat and our wok are always prepare to receive any veggies or protein which are delicately and precisely sliced to not waste any time during cooking. That is why most of (not all of) our dishes are made to order wok fried. Also we do have a very talented team in the kitchen.
About the hot sign, it is just a warning for those who have a more sensitive palate and cant handle spices and chilli like you probably do. We also offer the possibility to season our dishes with more chilli just in case it is not seasonned as you pleased.
It s a pity it wasnt the best experience for you, but we didnt want you to have the number 1 time of your life at Bien bien, we just wanted you to have a traditional thai warm and well seasoned meal.

I did the reservation last minute and they confirmed me and at the end I could go. Being lover of thai food I can say is a really well place. The service was incredible and the food super food. I told them I am vegetarian and they made the option of pad Thai with tofu. I strongly recommend it.

We had such a great Thai dinner that we returned another time during our last trip to Paris. Very friendly family run restaurant with excellent Thai food. When in Paris again, we shall go back!

Great Thai food restaurant. Delicious food, cozy environment, good service, fresh ingredients and a good value. Not a tourist trap either , many locals dining there. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service as well as the authentic Thai food.
Reservation is a must for 7pm-9pm but I noticed walk in also. There are 2 separate buildings, so pay attention when you book though they are right next to each others
