Just off the Boulevard Saint Germain this is a lovely restaurant. The atmosphere and clientele is very French and the food is delicious.

Year after year and trip after trip to Paris I keep coming back to this wonderful restaurant. It has a really pleasant and cozy atmosphere, excellent food and a good wine choice. Be it for lunch or dinner, it is certainly a good choice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good food in a laid back atmosphere. We come here each time we visit Paris. Looks like it is becoming more touristic. Many years ago, we only found locals.

We found this close to our lodgings and were very pleasantly surprised. The food quality was good, the service considerate (and not dismissive of our almost non-existent french). The menu was fixed price and great value. We almost went back but found a creperie nearby that was also good.

The atmosphere is cozy, but the staff is very slow. The food was average. Location was easy to access. not special, but okay....

The place is pretty and that's about it's best point. The herbs they advertise as being their strongpoint are nowhere to be tasted in the food. For ex.: the lamb with semoule and vegs. was boring and bland and the aubergine entree, although it did have some fresh coriander, was pretty tasteless. The fish tasted fresh but the green coloured... More

After a couple of what I considered sub-par Paris restaurant experiences at cafes in the 6th that got good reviews here on TA, I gave in and ordered a California burger w/fries. And it was very good, with thousand island dressing. They even had ketchup for the fries. Yeah, in Paris. My wife also enjoyed her Tandori chicken salad. Had... More

Trish and I were walking up and down streets, looking for our Saturday night place. We came across Bergamote, looked at the menu, and said "This is it!". It's a busy and tight little space, probably seats 60. The two servers covering were movin', but did it well. Took our orders within five minutes, even advising us away from our... More

I have just had a dinner there. The food was passable at best.had a gourmet burger with mascarpone that was served as a main dish. What was really unpleasant was the waitress (or maybe owner?) behavior that was so rude it bordered on the aggressive. She was very nervous to start with ,and acted as if forced to do an unpleasant... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
