Very friendly, tables crammed in, and huge portions. Thank heaven we didn't pig out on the bread and dips, because our main course was too large to finish. Better than average cooking.

Really good food, nice contamination of French traditional menu with a bit of North African spices! Very welcoming owner (speaking also some Italian) and staff, on top it is also cheap: 23€ main course + dessert. For sure I will come back!

Really, really really good. We booked a table on the strength of other reviews on her and were not disappointed. We got here just as the place opened. Friendly waitress who went out of her way to help translate the menu for us. We went for the 3 course meal which was very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants and... More

We chose this place for a birthday lunch for two. It has creative interpretations on traditional French bistrot cooking. It's extremely good value for the lunch menu - three courses for under 30 euro. The 'aperitif maison' is a sparkling rose, which was very good. They offer a plate of great bread with three different shot glasses of dips / spreads... More

L'Alchimiste is a small restaurant with a warm welcome and a pleasant and original decoration. Dishes are written on the walls. Cheap combinations of main course - starters and/or desserts are proposed. Presentation of meals is original. Food is good and abundant. At the end of the meal, bottles of spirits are put on the table for free tasting. Sweets... More

We literally stumbled across L'Alchemiste while looking for a camera cable, so as you can imagine it's not on a major thoroughfare. It was around lunch it looked cute, so we dropped in. If you can imagine yourself in cozy authentic bistro, brim-full with charm, a great wine list, fantastic staff and a traditional but imaginative menu, then you look... More

We were a big group of friends. We had to book in advance as the restaurant is always busy and it's not big. The restaurant offers menus : starters/dessert + main course or the three courses meals. But if you want only the main dish you will get only one dish. I took some Salmon with ratatouille. It was good... More

What a treat !! Fresh specials with a good service. Perhaps not at the most convenient place in Paris, but it is worth the search and walk. This place shows it is possible to get good food at a decent price. Would go back any time. And for a drink afterwards, Le Calbar is on the same road.

I had lunch here for the first time today after having reserved a table as when I came last time it was full. I counted 28 places so make sure you call ahead to reserve. I sat at a table with red velvet banquette style seating with lots of cushions for comfort. I started with a generous glass of Buzey... More
