My wife and I went to the Comedie Francaise last night and were looking for a place to eat afterwards. As it was almost 11 PM, many places were closed. On out way to an all-night brasserie in the distance, we past by this unassuming restaurant and were intrigued by its lack of ostentatiousness, unusual for this neighborhood, and even... More

We loved our meal. We chose the 25 euro meal, Formule Saint- Jacques, with an entree and a main. A bit disappointed by the oyster entree - just one oyster, and 2 scallops. But a bit made up for by the free mussels, that came as a starter. Would have liked more oysters though - next time will order them... More

We weren't too sure about going into this restaurant as unlike a few of the neighbouring restaurants its kerb appeal didn't seem to draw us in so much, however the menu looked nice so as a group of 4 we ventured inside and asked for a table upstairs. This has a completely different feel to downstairs. Real upmarket decor and... More

Wandering by looking for a restaurant chose Vin and Maree by the fresh seafood stand outside. Once inside stunned by the beautiful decor reminiscent of being on the ship Titanic. The waitress was very friendly and attentive . We had the € 24 formula , prawns and fish of the day ,turbot both very nice but the highlight was the... More

A lovely greeting from the owner followed by a complimentary dish of the best mussels we've ever tasted. Everything that followed was excellent - Sole with lemon butter, Creme Brulee to name two dishes, and we were only sorry we hadn't discovered the restaurant earlier. We're returning to Paris later this year and this will be the first restaurant we... More

Needed to re-up our palates on French seafood, especially the oysters, and the concierge made a reservation for us. The reservation got us an upstairs room - nice quite spot by the window - and started off a great evening. Starting with the half lobster and the fines claires no. 3 oysters, we could only say "Wow," and continuing with... More

Vin et Marée 165 Rue Saint Honoré, 75001 Paris, France Recommended by friends, curiously for the giant Rum Baba, we visited here for our evening meal. It was quiet as we arrived in the early evening and we were welcomed and shown every courtesy by the Maitre D’. The restaurant itself is resplendent with historical art with a distinctly maritime... A very good seafood restaurant. Don't go on sundays since the supplies don't take place on this day. Take second floor tables by the window with a view of a bustling avenue de l'Opera. The lobster was fresh and the pricing is fine. The seabass while simply grilled was amazing

Our very well traveled group of four spent six high end days in Paris and we were fortunate that the concierges at our hotel had a good list of restaurants to recommend in addition to the ones we located ourselves, mostly using Trip Adviser as a source. Vin et Maree was one of the few disappointments and the only off... More

I visited the Voltaire location not far from the Grand Hotel Francais - in fact they recommended it. I was not aware they had multiple locations until I picked up a card on exiting. The food was exceptional and even as a solo diner the service was remarkable. An enormous chalk board was wheeled around with menu offerings - there... More
