Still THE place to go for Chinese/Viêt nam food but... The 2 shops are confusing, almost canibalising each other, The service was so so. The menu is huge. Wine menu is poor (to say the least). Toilets are not very clean. Now, the food: I had a soup pho: 7/10 (wrong size of noodles and chewy meat ball but good... More

First Time I tried Asian cuisine, a Vietnamese friend recommended it. And I was not deceived. The prices are very affordable [even cheap], I will say regarding the amount of food we ate. The food was very good we tried the Bánh cuốn, Ha Kao [shrimp ravioli] , Peking duck, different sorts of rice.

I keep coming back here, the range of nems and dimsum is great. Arrive early if you want a table, but the food is great. Tried the Chinese buns for the first time this weekend and they are great. Beware the sauces on the table.... Some are really hot! It's a busy restaurant so the serving staff are under a... More

Locate in the chinese district in Paris this is a good, reasonable price, chinese restaurant. The food is traditional. The dim sum is just like in Asia.

When the Chinese boss and his family arrived from Cambodia to escape the killing fields they opened this place. LI would not go anywhere else. Cheap and chearful, brilliant food, fresh, friendly. I love it.

We arrived for Saturday lunch and were able to get a seat right away -- and immediately saw that some of our favorite dishes were no longer available. "T53 -- beinget de porc au sauce de piment" is no longer available and the menu has been significantly edited. We did order T14--Thai beef salad, 129–coriander raviolis, 131–beef and ginger dumplings... More

I wanted to introduce a friend to dim sum. What an embarrassment. This foods was not close to what you would find in China, utterly mediocre. In China, it is superlative! And yet, the place was packed, although mainly with Europeans. There must be good dim sum somewhere in Paris! If you seek the truth, you will not find it... More

This restaurant serve straight from Street Food, Some food you usually do not found in every chinese restaurant! The service is quiet long but it is worth it. Very crowded during week end!

Search "best dim sum in Paris" on Google and Tricotin is on more than one list. And until I have gone to at least 10 dim sum places in Paris I'm not going to pretend to speak authoritatively. However, as someone who has been eating dim sum since he was 4 or 5 years old, I can say that the... More

I went here with a friend for lunch recently and was seriously underwhelmed. Only one of my three dim sum orders, from a large number of possibilities, met my expectations. That proved to be the barbecued pork buns, which were flavorful with a good texture. My tasteless shrimp dumplings, however, had the consistency of rubber. I was tempted to bounce... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
