Excellent Food but the price was totally excessive but typical of the prices in Paris during our visit

I picked this restaurant after looking at the Michelin starred restaurants. Charming atmosphere, very traditional. Seemed to be a lot of regulars. Service was great - the waiter was delightful and the chef was watching everything like a hawk. My husband has celiac disease and needs a gluten-free meal. Sometimes that means we can't have the Degustation Menu, but no... More

Lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent food. The amuse Boucher, a pumpkin soup flavored with ham, with a foamy white broth was like an entire course and incredibly delicious. The quenelle was the lightest I've ever eaten with a superb sauce. The chef is a master of wonderful textures and subtle flavored.

This was one of the best meals we have ever had in Paris or elsewhere. Classic for sure but with extraordinary enhancements and inventions. Sumptuous old world elegance in an ancient building. It doesn't get better. Why this does t have more Michelin stars is a mystery. Go by all means.

We went for the 60 Euro lunch and had a very fine meal with complex flavors that you expect in a fine restaurant. The service was also first rate and friendly and helpful!

We were fortunate enough to be able to book a dinner at this fine dining restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. Firstly, great good! We selected the degustation menu, an 8 course delight that included combinations of seafood, duck, and fresh local produce in season. The bread was delicious too. A broad selection of wines were available, and I chose the... More

We were in Paris for our anniversary and wanted to try a Michelin rated restaurant. The sommelier was very helpful and the manager, whose English is good but Portuguese was better, was great. I recommend the tasting menu with wine. The duck was amazing! The sommelier opened 5 different bottles of wine for the multiple courses. It was so nice... More

My husband and I treated ourselves to a meal here upon our trip to Paris in July. We’d hoped it would be a once in a lifetime experience with a huge wow factor, we left a little disappointed. We were 5 minutes early for our reservation, they wouldn't let us in and left us waiting outside on the street for... More

I have gone to Louis XIII several times over the 30 years. While always good, and the first time it had two Guide Michelin stars, lunch on 7 July was the best. It was so good, I now have to say it was the best meal I have ever had, and I have had some great ones from Sweden to... More

There want anything that wasn't well done. That said it didn't leave us with a wow. The food was well presented and original. The service was well delivered. There was no rush. But I have to compare the experience with other dinning experiences and it didn't match the experience at lesser rated restaurants.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
