A delicious Pho place. Understated and minimal and good value for money! Not a fancy place but good quick service. These guys know Pho. Lots of fresh leafy herbs and generous portion sizes. Would definately recommend if you want an authentic taste of Vietnam.

Of course I know there are places I should rather not go as vegetarian in France, and I don't (Argentinian restaurants, steak houses, etc). Yet asian cuisine is rather veggie friendly, I really usually enjoy Korean, Japanese and Chinese food in many places. So I came here, as a friend advised me to. I politely ask whether they have vegetarian... More

Very fast service, but don't expect upperfriendly service, because everything has to go fast with a long waiting line outside. Food was as I expected: very good soup, noodles nicely done and love the served herbes that go with it! One of the best I have been before.

My friend told me that Vietnamese Pho in Paris are delicious. So we went to Chinatown and choose this restaurant which has a long queuing. We ordered meatball soup which is a very delicious and maybe the best we have ever had so far.

After travelling through Europe for 5 weeks, I was absolutely craving Vietnamese food. Coming from Sydney Australia there is an abundance of authentic Vietnamese restaurants and i can say Pho 14 in Paris really fulfilled my craving and fix. I had the chicken Pho where the chicken broth was clear and chicken was of high quality. They use a dried... More

Visited District 13 as a final destination before flying out. Definitely a four only for the taste, but the restaurant is small and hustles business like most Asian restaurants. Slightly rude and uninviting, but I don't really care if the food is good. Pho had good broth and they offered all veggies fresh on the side in addition to fresh... More

We had dinner here on Dec26, and I've never tried such bad pho in my life. the broth was plain and you can feel the glutamate inside so strong that your tongue has to react. the noodle was tasteless and they stick together like they were precooked for ages. My friend who had rice with beef also complain that it's... More

I visited again this small restaurant and his great success is perhaps his problem. The service is really fast, but perhaps not very friendly (because they have plenty of customers). The food is pretty good and not expensive but in the neighbourhood you can find more comfortable places (not so small) with the same (or still better) food quality.

BAD PHO. Noodle is precooked and yet under cooked, hence very hard. Meatballs are like stones, soup is not hot and taste so so.

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
