An excellent bistro to sample great classic French food, good friendly service, nice wines and full of charm. We had the set menus and both were great value. The potato gratin with my lamb was superb creamy garlicky everything a gratin should be. The tarte fine for dessert was sublime as was the whole meal.

I've eaten here a couple of times and enjoyed it. The menu has many bistro favorites and they are done well. Having had a good size lunch I tried the Raw Marinated Salmon with some trepidation in an effort to lighten the meal. It was fresh tasting and very good. The portion size was almost too big. I followed that... More

We went to this traditional style restaurant for lunch on a Friday and it was full of regulars having the 'menu du jour'. We joined them, enjoying some great, traditional food and wine. It was all very tasty, especially the 'omelette à la norvégienne' which turns out to be a baked Alaska, flamed at the table! Amazing.

While highly recommended, we were very disappointed. The food was average and lacking in flavor, the meat was a bit chewy, and the service was mediocre. We did not feel particularly welcomed.

Lovely traditional French neighbourhood restaurant. Perfect place for Sunday lunch. Fab tartare. Lovely pichet of Cote de Brouilly. Harengs as starter. Fromage blanc as desert. 20€ menu. Wine affordable. Brilliant. The boss has goats cheese profiteroles. Fab.

Sunday Lunch full of the local Parisian families discussing football. Great atmosphere. Not the cheapest but very tasty, however wasn't sure if my palate could appreciate the special flavour of the "dos de lieu" chicken. Profiteroles were excellent.

If you want the real French Bistro dining experience this is definitely worth a look. We just walked in on a Sunday evening and the place was packed with with mainly French and a few tourists. There was one table left which was elbow to elbow to other couples but we decided to take it. When we sat down it... More

The food is fantastic and very tasty. The service is very attentive and patient if you are not fluent in French. Great place for very good food for a very reasonable price!

We chose this cozy place for our last meal in Paris because reviews were good and it sounded perfect for French "comfort food" in a traditional setting. We were very pleased with Perraudin. We started with a herring salad and mixed vegetable crudités salad, both good. My husband had roasted chicken with frites, which he pronounced the best he had... More

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
