We had the best dinner here last week and went back tonight for an even better experience. The Chateaubriand was amazing with the best wine reduction sauce. The crepe Suzette were the best we had. The owner even taught us how to make the perfect flambé. The orange cognac was out of this world

I had done a lot of research for Trocadéro and saw lots of places but never saw this one. Luckily, the night of the Euro 2016 finals, we were left looking for any type of food and settled on a nice pizza place that was across the street from this restaurant. While waiting, we looked at the menu and it... More

Exceptional cuisine (Pan seared foie gras and lobster troubadour) delicious wine, simply outrageous cognac, and Harold is a host without compare. Don't miss this hidden gem.

Paris has historically had a well-deserved reputation for great food with, shall we say, less-than-friendly service. Paul Chene addresses the latter problem whilst remaining true to France's rich culinary heritage. I chose the restaurant simply because it advertised goose confit on the menu and I was intrigued. My curiosity was rewarded ten-fold with a truly superb dinner, aided by the... More

I accidentally booked reservations for the wrong day but thankfully we were still accommodated. My husband and I ordered the pan seared foie gras, puff pastry with sea bass, roasted goose and profiteroles. Every dish was presented in an excellent manner and everything was delicious. My husband said it was the best foie gras he had eaten. Our best memory... More

This is a small place, with some spectacular food. It is a place to go to remember why butter and cognac reductions were created. The food is rich, but beautifully prepared, and served with warmth.

After days and days of rain, we did not wish to venture too far from our hotel. What a delightful find this was - tucked in the 16th on a nondescript block. Small, maybe 25 people max, with a warm and welcoming 3rd generation family owner. Small menu, nice choices, all excellent. Not inexpensive, but worth the money (3 courses,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
