Liza is a gem of a restaurant, decorated with a contemporary elegance. We shared the mezze set menu (priced per person for dinner), which means they set out just about every mezze on the menu -- 6 or 7 fixed items, and 3 or 4 items that vary with the season. The usual items (hummus, etc) were strong, with the... More

Had a delicious meal in this quiet neighborhood restaurant. My Parisian colleague took me to this restaurant when I requested something local to my hotel -- she regularly visits this restaurant and said it's one of her favorites in Paris. The meal was beautifully presented, with many options for sharing which was perfect for us. The hummus and yogurts were... More

Had lunch. Our hotel recommended the place. Great neighborhood. Modern decor. We started with hummus and had more hummus with the meal. Felafel. And chicken skewers. All terrific. Zero complaints. Enjoyed it all.

On our last day in Paris we thought we would try something different and settled on Lebanese. Liza turned out to be a great fund. Nice decor and nice service set off the tone. Even though not very hungry we went with the degustation menu so we could sample more. Food was tasty and authentic- though the hummus could have... More

Every time I come here it's for their Buffet. It was just perfect. Their Lebanese dishes are just divine. I love their delicate and refined desserts. I visit here regularly when I want to indulge myself.

I was visiting from the United States and the restaurant was recommended by the Westin Vendôme staff. I had been in the past years to Lebanese restaurants in Paris and elsewhere but Liza stands out. Authentic food prepared with fresh ingredients, tasty, quality over quantity! We chose to go à la carte. We tried shish tawook, kibble nayeih, tabboulé, spinach... More

We were a large group with a Friday night booking at 9.30 pm. The booking was made a couple of weeks in advance for a set menu. On the day of the dinner we called to confirm that we would be 14 instead of 16. When we arrived, the restaurant served all dishes at once- aperitif, entree and mains. When... More

Dear Kelly, I would like to convey to you my sincere apologies if the diner was not up to your expectations. Our clients feedback are very important to us and help us continuously improve. It is in that purpose that we e-mailed Mrs Milson, who book the dinner, the next day at noon to know her feelings about the dinner.... More

Description
A restaurant has opened at 14 rue de la Banque in Paris and carries the name of its originator: LIZA. Liza Soughayar is very much like the place she has created; from a different Lebanon, one that is oriental and modern, simple and sophisticated... Contemporary. To express this particular image of Lebanon, she worked with her husband Ziad Asseily for his creativity and love of food. A simple menu and fresh products... Her cuisine renounces nothing; however, she reinvents the Lebanese table in a space conceived for her, in the new interpretation of old partitions. We also have a bakery sandwiches next door L de liza and we do catering upon request

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
