Average for a 1 star place. Some courses better than others Fois gras was good but boiled egg with toast and crumb was poor and very average! Fish course was nice but quail for the meat course was very small and skin not rendered. Can think of better ways to spend 261 euro!!! Especially since we were charged for a... More

I really enjoyed the lunch I had in this restaurant. Located in the rue Saint Dominique in the 7th Quarter. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The decor is modern minimalist. The service was impeccable. I chose the fixe menu at a reasonable price of $45.00 for a one star Michelin restaurant. The foie gras was excellent. The scallops... More

Went there shortly after getting engaged. Had previously told them of this and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. The service matched the equally exquisite food. Was a marvelous experience for both of us and everything was amazing in taste, delivery and setting.

We dined here to celebrate my Boyfriend's bday. So we chose the " Dégustation " menu whereas there's 7 services (wine not encluded) which is a bummer. Expect to be pricey since its a one star restaurant and the food is really amazing good quality especially the foie gras .. it's to die for. So since the wine is not... More

I was looking for a Michelin one star for lunch and was very pleased with this choice. The service was impeccable from the start - very helpful English speaking wait staff. The meal was pure French - lovingly prepared and presented. The wines selections were delightful and perfect for each dish. All of the other tables were filled with locals... More

We dined at Le Violon d'Ingres whilst visiting Paris for a short visit. The food was superb, a great menu that was original without being over complicated. As an example I had the scallop salad to start followed by pigeon and they were both perfectly prepared and presented. The service was also impeccable, friendly and attentive without being intrusive or... More

We had seen that the restaurant offers at lunch a 45 euros three courses menu with a substantial choice. We booked a table and asked for one far from the door. We got a very nice rather quiet table and were pleasantly surprised that our menu included a cup of champaign. My main course was scallops, 4 medium size ones,... More

We had the tasting menu to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were delighted both with the quality of the cuisine, the service and the whole dining experience. While this quality of food is not cheap (especially given the pound/euro rate!), we both would recommend this restaurant for a special event if you are visiting Paris. We would certainly go... More

We had Christmas dinner at Le Violon d'Ingres and it was just the right place to be on Christmas night! Service was impeccable, the food was superb, and the atmosphere was elegant without being too fussy. Naturally the wine was amazing--after all we were in France--but it was just a wonderful evening! Thanks to everyone there! Highly recommend this restaurant... More

This is an admirable place, not cheap, but one enjoys haute cuisine and good service (not the usual pretentious service in French restaurants). The food is worthwhile the if you have a few hundreds of euro to spend. Very center of Paris.
