We have eaten at Le Vaudeville many times in the past. It is located opposite the old Bourse off the Avenue Quatre Septembre. It is a beautiful art-deco style building which gives one the feeling of being in France at the turn of the 19th/20th century. Food is very good and prices are competitive. Our waiter was very attentive. My... More

We fondly remember this restaurant – from the 90s - as a good eating place and with a wonderfully authentic art deco atmosphere where there would be no surprises with its classical Parisian bistro fare. Lore has it that local show business stars (of the 20s? 30s?) frequented the place and that a theatre used to occupy the premises, hence... More

Best fish my husband ever ate, he said. He's eaten alot of seafood. All our meals were great, family of 4. Teen and 7 year old all had a great meal. Recommended for chicken and seafood.

I have been going to Le Vaudeville for more than 30 years. I have not been there in a decade, and I can say that it has not lost its Art Deco edge and gleam even though it was purchased and made part of the Brasserie Flo chain in Paris. Like most restaurants in France (due to economic realities and... More

Our last dinner in Paris enjoyed Le Vaudeville! Tasty shrimp, cod, and scallop dishes. Wonderful starter of soft boiled egg, mashed parsnips with Parmesan cheese sauce! Delicious gazpacho with a lump of ricotta cheese with fresh spices and croutons. Great service- was served 6 open oysters by mistake so they were complimentary.

Best during our stay in Paris. We had asparagus and snails for starter and Chatuebriand or Cod for main course. Very good and excellent service. Mostly local Parisienne guests. Also the creme brûlée was perfect. Warmly recommended.

Very good service and food in a long established brasserie opposite the Bourse. One of the 14 brasseries part of Esprit Brasserie group used to be known as Brasserie Flo Only down side was lack of choice of table despite arriving when the brasserie was nearly empty just after 7:00.

I didn't think the restaurant was that good, could be my choice of food though. It was very busy and service was a little slow. I thought it was a little expensive and there are other options close by.

Our local guide had booked based on personal experience. We were not very hungry but have the onion soup. Tasty, about what I expected.

We had chosen this restaurant based on the strong reviews it had received. For the price, what a disappointment! Service was friendly although people sitting both sides of us were having to complain about long delays for initial drinks and starters. My husband and I's meals (despite the fact that we had followed recommendations given to us by the waiter)... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
